I'm Jason Dohle here with the only other Member of WPW's roster that actually hails from the Great Southern Continent/Island, David Nicolls.. Or Aperama, Or as his real name is.. Edward Wyatt, Very nice to have you here!

Edward Wyatt: It is? Aww, you're just saying that. It's nice to be able to talk with you again, Promy. Do you still owe me $10?

Jason: For those of you not getting it, I think my first real meeting with Edward involved me not actually having any money for lunch. But anyway, you were in my hometown so I claim it as tourist tax!
Edward: I offered to buy him a drink, actually. And it was some crappy lemonade form or something. But to no avail. We're here to talk about something else. Model helicopters?

Jason: Wrestling.. E Fed wrestling specifically because I know you also perform in the more physical and painful one too!
Edward: It's true, it's true. I'm an actual wrestler. I'd call myself a successful one, but that'd be an out and out lie.. After all, here in Australia, you're working to get $50 and maybe a free dinner out of the deal, and that's if you're lucky. But yeah, e-fedding. More painful; I get back pain because my chair is this old wooden thing. It's terrible!

Jason: So, what are the huge differences between the two, do you get more enjoyment out of one than the other?
Edward: I get more enjoyment out of actual wrestling. It's a fine line; e-fedding leaves more to your control, and means for less working out (let me tell you, doing hundreds of squats/pushups/situps WILL kill you.) But at the same time, actually having a crowd out there to visualise makes thnigs much more rewarding. And the huge differences? Well, e-fedders read into things hugely, because for the better part they're smarks. Funny thing is, there aren't actually that many smarks out there, so you find that many people (particularly kids) are willing to just say, "Nice fight out there tonight!" Well, if you're a face, anyway. If you're a heel, and a good one, you're just plain ol' fucked.

Jason: And what are you in both worlds, face or heel?
Edward: Face working for most feds. I'm a tweener in one fed, because they're essentially little kids who love techno, and I have a similar gimmick no matter which way I go - and one guy likes to see us heel it up no matter what. I'm not going to say either's more rewarding, though. I find it more entertaining to be a face, though - everyone wants to have some kind of edge these days, it's just irritating! You don't need an edge. It's pro wrestling. You can just be silly. It'll get over! Look at Eugene. Most exciting WWE performer of his time, if he didn't keep getting buried. And Val Venis, Stevie Richards.. "crash test dummy" and "ex-pornstar", fantastic wrestlers who can captivate any crowd. Sorry, tangent, just had to get that off of my chest.

Jason: And in E fedding you prefer a face, what kind of face do you think Nicolls is?
Edward: Well, he's more serious than I'd initially intended him to be. He was kinda a joke to begin with. See, it's actually a play on things.. There's a local wrestler to Australia, "Mikey Nicolls". He put out this OUTRAGEOUS promo where he was going for the NWA Australian title hunt, and was essentially going, "Hey. I'm Mikey Nicolls. In Australia, EVERYONE knows me. I mean, I go down the street, and people go like, "Hey. That's Mikey Nicolls."" It was fucking fantastic. I actually have the same (power) metal loving gimmick RL-wise, too - I can just play it up as being a lot sillier there. I'd say he's just a no-nonsense wrestler these days.. whereas, I'd intended him to more be the sort of person who screws up a figure four several times, then gets his opponent to show him how to do it (on him). And yes, for the record, I've done that.

Jason: So tell us, how did you discover WPW?
Edward: Well, essentially speaking, I came from IOW, where Smike (the guy behind the mask.. I could say Michael, but you think that's his real name? No way! That's just too clever) - had more or less told me to go over. I noticed how the WPW forum was the most densely populated, and I was, at the time, kinda wondering how I (Nicolls started off as essentially being my wrestling alter-ego, Barry Lawrence) - would be written as far as matches were concerned. I kinda just got into it from there, I guess.

Jason: You are probably best known as part of D&D, how did that group come about and what are your thoughts on it?
Edward: Okay, my debut match was against Desmond Troy, who was debuting at the time. I won (oooh, yeah, winning my debut, go me!) From there, for no apparent reason whatsoever, after a little jaunt for the hardcore title, I got thrown into the tag team division. It started with an attempt to put me in with Jason Bennett (Uh, I think.. The one played by Neo) - but he didn't RP, which kinda lost me my first match. There was an MVP-Matt Hardy storyline with them picking up the tag team championships around that point - I kinda felt that's what they were going for at the time by putting the wrestlers who debuted together hating one another et al into a team. So yeah.. I ended up with Troy. We had some rough patches, admittedly. I enjoyed my time with - it worked quite well overall, and I'm interested to see whether or not Hendrickson will get back into it (and in what capacity should he)!

Jason: What are your thoughts on being the quickest winner of a title in your career at WPW (PCW exiles excluded) and what was it like to win?
Edward: I am? I honestly didn't know that, haha! Well, the tag team title division seemed one of the hotter contested places at the time, given that the Florida State was basically bouncing from RK to Parker, the GoL was doing its typical rampant wave around everyone's waist, and I really didn't like the idea of going for the World belt myself - so I felt at the time the tag division was actually pretty swell for me, and it was always good fun RPing against you/Judge. When I actually won the tag team tiles it was massive in its own way, I hadn't really expected it to mean much of anything, but it really ended up feeling something special. Still surprised by that, to be honest.

Jason: And now for something truthful, do you think Smike, who has only just joined WPW, really deserves to be called Tag team champion without doing anything else to really earn the title in comparison to others on the roster?
Edward: Well.. I know that he's a good enough roleplayer to sit in that place. It was always kinda my plan to bring in Smike - he's my best friend, really, and roleplaying with him makes things that much more fun. I'm not sure that, technically speaking, he's maybe 'deserved' it yet - but at the same time, you've gotta think that when it comes down to it, I think that he'll be proving himself worthy in the near future. He puts a lot of effort into his roleplays, and that's something that's sorely lacking from a few people in this fed.

Jason: The Brawl for it all is coming up soon, do you plan to win it, and who do you see winning it to face the WPW Champion?
Edward: To be honest, I've struggled to find out what exactly the Brawl for it All is. I only managed to find it out a few weeks ago. Who do I think is looking good to win a royal rumble styled match? Well, their RPs really have to stand out from everyone else's.. I'd say that if he's back by then, Jokester's got a good chance. That's not to say that he's a better roleplayer or anything, just I think that most people's RP's get really boring when they're stacked against others (because everyone's looking to be the 'edgy' wrestler) - and of those who aren't already likely to be in a match that night, which sorta divides their attention, Jokester should be good to face who-is-likely-to-be-JMC-as-not for a second round at the title.
Jason: It is a Royal Rumble thing too.
Edward: Yeah, I know. And I forgot our system there for a second! Ah, ack. Like I say, I think that it'll come down to someone who doesn't have a match for the night, who's able to pull out extremely distinct promos.

Jason: It's an interesting system as each person will only be able to write two rps maximum. but failing Jokester vs. JMC II, what is another match you would like to see at Redemption, our Big PPV?
Edward: Oh, I didn't know about that! I kinda figured it'd come down to 'just RP loads'. In that case, I hope to see a word limit, too. Gotta give the Blade LaVignes of the world a chance, right? As far as another match? Well, saving a good match for myself with some strong competitors (yeah, really, I actually enjoy a good RP battle) - I think it's hard to say from there. Maybe a rematch between Gunnar Brian and Martin Cameron, seeing as no matter the result, I think it's likely to be controversial (at Brawl For It All) as a finish, and those two are both looking pretty hot right now, really. As a writer, I'd enjoy the chance to write the rematch (whether it was Gunnar being pissed at the guy who ended his streak, or Martin trying to reclaim his gold). There's also the possibility of a slightly more convoluted setup, which would be just as good.. Martin v 2 v Brian anyone? That'd be worth a look, for sure.

Jason: And Nicolls, where would you like to see him?

Edward: I'm not a big person for looking into the future, to be frank. I can't see myself losing the tag team titles as things stand, though - I just feel as though the majority of the potential competition is interested in other things. If Karver wasn't looking straight past me for the WPW title, for instance, things might be a little different. But really, all I ask for is some good, worthwhile competition that makes me think. Anything else is just gravy. Maybe I'll actually end up in a feud, might make people want to RP more! I'm unsure.

Jason: alright, this is a perfect time for the old name dropping game. I guess we’ll start of with The Karvers, both of them!
Edward: Oooh, namedropping! The Karvers.. Okay, I'll make it perfectly clear - I'd like to see the bastards start using purely present tense. It's really difficult to read for me, being a complete and utter grammar nazi, when "was" turns to "is" mid-sentence, and the like. That said, MMK's definitely a good RPer, although I think Grav's still got somewhere to go, at least to prove himself. In an OOC note, I owe Michael Karver death. NOBODY takes my Tetris crown from me!

Jason: 2?
Edward: Great RPer. He sometimes uses a bit too much in the way of spacing (shyeah, grammar nazi) - but it's a nice guy behind the mask, and he's got the right idea IMO. He's someone you really can't sit on your hands around. His biggest weakness is that he tends to be a bit repetitive, and I think that's what will end up leading to his undoing in most of his matches. That said, I think he's up there with the people who can just churn out quality RPs.. and the character's right where it should be at the moment, methinks, given the fact that titles don't really stay on people forever, especially when someone has a bad week or whatever. Definitely feel sorry for him for Forsaken doing the last minute bam on him, though!

Jason: Sky Ryder
Edward: I'm of two minds on this guy. I like his roleplaying - I honestly feel he could get somewhere in the fed - but he can be a little unreliable, and I think his character is one of the most incredibly dipshit boring archetypes you can choose. I'm reasonably sure I like the guy behind the metaphorical camera, though, so really.. I think that with a little tweaking (I mean, I think that a smartassed vampire makes me laugh in the *wrong* way, if you get my meaning) - he could get somewhere big. Especially if he doesn't get stuck in #1 contender's matches all the time! That thing with Jesse was a bit off IMO.. Jesse basically coulda punched his keyboard blindfolded and won, purely because that's what everyone wants to see. But, tangenting, I guess!

Jason: Notorious WYT?
Edward: Where the fuck did that come from, haha! I feel like the tag team division's being a bit neglected at the moment, and I can't honestly say I've enjoyed his (er, Pez/Shua's) RP's to this point. But then again, things could change. If he really thinks he can come from nowhere to manage 3 wrestlers, all the power to him, though! I think that roleplaying the entirety of a tag team is really difficult, too, so.. yeah. We'll see with time.

Jason: The One
Edward: Don't really have too much to say about him. I think he's doing his best to cement himself as a bit of a conceited asshole outside of - I also think that he's a good RPer, from what I've seen of him. It'll be interesting to see which way he goes from Brawl for it All, I guess. But I'm not really the person to ask about him - even though I was technically a part of that unnamed group for.. the week it was around, that was more that I was approached and in a receptive mood than anything.

Jason: Royalty?
Edward: Royalty at the moment.. well, it's not much to speak of. I think it was interesting when they held (5/6) of the belts on the roster, but at the moment, it's essentially a stable of two people, which really doesn't work for me. I make no qualms about it - I think the group isn't working at the moment, though maybe it was at one point. I kinda wonder which way it's going to go.. Part of me just wants to say 'let it end' - some things go past their own use by date without being able to admit it to themselves. I'd rather just see the alliance of 2 and JMC as wrestlers independent of one another, almost, as it stands at the moment.

Jason: Mike Adams
Edward: The wrestler? Way better than Brock Goodman. The character just seems to fit way better with (the guy behind). I enjoy reading his promos for the better part - that said, and I do hate saying this - I don't see him beating JMC for the belt. It's not that it's impossible.. it just doesn't feel right. It feels like he's going to continue to play up on the wrong points, like Jokester did (insulting someone for being German for 5 promos, entertaining as it may be, really doesn't get over motivation). But that said, part of me would like to be proven wrong. Austin Aries is so much more kickass than Cillian Murphy, no offense meant, Jason.

Jason: And with that personal insult on my digital appearance, we shall end this interview. It was great to chat to you!
Edward: Hey, it's true! *Scarecrow*! Heh. It was fun. Back to Tetris, I guess! I'll talk with you another time. Maybe about that tenner. Oh, I'd just like to take this time to confirm to everyone in WPW: Sex > RP. I tested this theory, unfortunately, during a losing streak, but I was honestly more happy with my temporary gain than my permanent loss. Talk to you all some other time, I'm sure!

I also forgot my other key statement: Hoodies really are gay.

Hoodies arent gay. They are essential in the art of war known as No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em.

Nice write up all the same. These are fun to read. Like watching "Kane unmasked" or traveling with Fatu to his hometown and what not.

Ouches... ouches good sir, ouches.

Nahhh... I understand where your coming from... sorta. I still don't understand on the whole why you don't like my gimmick thing, but that's to be discussed between us.

I really throughly enjoy these interviews, as does everyone else. I can't wait for more, from people like Ken, or Adams...
