WPW Sunday Night Live!
March 9th, 2008
Union City High School Gym
Union City, Tennessee
Viktor Nazor Vs. Clayton Palmer:
Watching this match was alot like watching some special kids try to play chess. Slapping, laughing and very detrimental to the mental health of everyone involved. Viktor eventually seemed to grow a brain and looked like a wrestler. The Brass Tax put everyone to sleep.
Winner: Viktor Nazor
Sly & Beno Vs. Crazed & Ivan Rostov:
No one expected Sly and Beno to come and work well together. Let alone better then the other two men in the ring. Not only did they work better, they made sure to really dig into Crazed and Ivan to make sure people saw a new team could be in town. One sided as it could be, Sly and Beno actually put on there own little stolen moves clinic before stereo stunners picked up the win.
Winner: Sly and Beno
SSG Vs. The Outkast Kid:
Im not sure how it happend. But I was actually present when SSG did a basic redo of the last edition of Live. I spent plenty of time puking into the nearest garbage can. Which turned out to be a star wars fan in the wrong area dressed as R2-D2. SSG with the win after some blood....
Winner: SSG
Akashi Vs. Sam Fisher:
Sam Fisher tried to pull some sneaky spy stuff and hung upside down from the top turnbuckle. He didnt seem to realise he wasnt as high as he though and after he got himself stuck he was wide open for Akashi to lay in some light kicks and punches. Eventually Sam was able to pull himself up. Akashi quickly locked in a Dragon sleeper, the ref didint seem to care that Sam was locked into the ropes and eventually counted him out when he passed out?
Winner: Akashi
Jason Riddick Vs. Ryuu Tsukigami:
Jason didnt know what was getting into, and from the first headkick in the match he was dazed and lost. A barrage of strikes followed. Eventually Ryuu was able to get Jason set up and came flying off the top rope with a huge flying kick to the throat that sealed the win.
Winner: Ryuu Tsukigami
Jesse Long Vs. Smike:
Smike seemed a bit confused at the start of this match up when he was introduced as X, and possibly one half of the WPW Tag Team Champions, and even more confused when Jesse came to the ring pushing SiNN in his wheelchair. He said something about Jesse not needing help. The match began and the two guys went at it in a fast paced match controlled by Smike for a good portion. Long used a jawbreaker to switch the momentum around. Things looked good before he missed an elbow drop. Smike went for a suplex, but seemed distracted by SiNN who was sloppily eating some lunch meat. He got rolled into a pin attempt, but rolled it through and nearly had the the three but Jesse kicked out. I then had a coughing fit for about 7 minutes, the crowd was super hot during this so I figure the action was good, when it was over the fans were out of breath as Jesse kicked out of a pin just after the three count meaning Smike had won the match on either an awesome crazy roll up or some crazy awesome move that was or was not a reversal. After the match the fans appauded both men for their efforts, though Long seemed a bit upset at what had transpired.
Winner: Smike
MVP Vs. Forsaken:
This match consisted of a very sloppy set up and move Forsaken calles Wrath of the Dragon. After the Dragonrana it was all over.
Winner: Forsaken
Mike Corral Vs. Dan Murph:
Mike tried to spring around alot and stay ahead of the big man. He did ok at it for awhile, never really landing any blows, just avoiding the majority of the ones launched at him. Eventually he couldnt get away though and Dan got his thick hands on him. A few big slams later and Corral was tapping out to The Black Death.
Winner: Dan Murph
(Sorry for the crap matches. Not many rps and i just woke up not to long ago.)
