PROVING GROUND
Tuesday, February 19th
House of Blues
New Orleans. Louisiana

Singles Grudge Match
The Outkast Kid vs. Dan Murph
The Outkast Kid was on one hell of a rush. He seemed to be on the fast track to the main event.. but then, the man who introduced him to WPW, Dan Murph, turned on his seeming friend, breaking his wrist in an attempt to hurt and maim the impressive Kid. Murph, on the other hand, has been on a bad run of late, losing several tag team matches in a row. He's been attempting to change his life, return to his barest roots.. Will his past come back to haunt him in this grudge match to open Proving Ground? This pairing have been aching to face one another in the middle of the ring for ages, now, and they finally get the chance at Proving Ground!

Singles Match
Justin Dreamer vs. Dust
Justin Dreamer; a man who seems to have come back with a vengeance. He's standing out completely in his attempts to face The Royalty, with a somewhat bumpy road behind him over the recent weeks, though he did manage to stay with the Resistance in a pivotal win over The Judge. One might say that one of the best possible challenges for someone looking to take down the Royalty.. the only 'former' member, Dust.. who has been coming out repeatedly to warn us of his change of heart, seemingly similar to his original Royalty roots. Will Dust's hype prove truthful, or will Dreamer's run of being incredibly reliable prove too much for the returning People's King?

God of Live Championship Match
MVP Vs. Phill Bennett
MVP has been facing Jesse Long for what feels like the past aeon. They've been involved in an intense rivalry over the title that presently belongs to MVP, the God of Live Championship. In what some might consider an upset, the ever topsy-turvy Phill Bennett beat Jesse Long in a #1 contender's match not long ago.. and now, it's time to see if Phill Bennett can make worthwhile the opportunity he's been given, or if MVP will continue his strong run - or, for that matter, if Jesse Long will end up facing MVP for the hard-defended championship one more time.

Singles Grudge Match
The Dream Vs. Gunnar Brian
Gunnar Brian has been what some might call the hottest man in WPW over these past few months. He's been gaarnering a lot of attention with his new position as 'Savior' of WPW, with 14 successive wins in both singles and tag team wrestling, not a loss to his name over the entire year thusfar. Over the course of a month, Brian declared that he would rid WPW of someone that did not truly care for the wellbeing of our beloved company.. and that man, it seems, was slated to be The Dream. He viciously attacked the vice-presidential candidate a few weeks ago, and gave the ever-popular Dream time to stir.. A dangerous thing to allow the former PCW Champion. As such, The Dream is looking for payback.. and Gunnar Brian is looking for the end of a career. This one.. well, it's probably going to be bloody.

Hardcore Championship Match
2 Vs. Forsaken
Forsaken; considered by many to be the best man in WPW yet to win a title. 2; Royalty member, former Florida State Champion.. and long-running Hardcore Champion. The Hardcore Division has been long-reigned by 2, and there's no mistaking that he believes the WPW Hardcore Title to be his very own. However, 2 has also been involved in a feud which led to repeated unsanctioned fights, suspensions.. with Martin Cameron, present Florida State Champion. Forsaken is somebody that nobody can overlook easily, and 2 might well just be too distracted by his present feud with Martin Cameron to be able to give full thought to his opponent at Proving Ground. Forsaken, meanwhile, won a 6-man qualifier to make it to WPW's February pay per view; and he has long expressed that he feels he should have won the title all the way back at ReActivation. Will everything conspire to give Forsaken the edge, or will 2 be able to focus himself for long enough to continue his dominance over the Hardcore Division?

Singles Match
The Judge vs. Mike Adams
This match could be the end of an era. The era.. of The Resistance. If Mike Adams loses this match, the Resistance will finally be disbanded, and the Royalty will be left unfettered by the constant thorn in their side. However, with great risk comes great reward, as if Mike Adams wins, he will finally have the chance to replicate his successes in PCW, and wrestle the WPW Champion, whoever that may be at the time! However, standing on the other side of the ring will be someone who has proven time and time again that he's a contender.. that he has the true chance to take on WPW gold in any form, The Judge. Will The Judge finally be able to rid the Royalty of its most consistent foe, or will Mike Adams have the chance to become #1 Contender?

Florida State Championship Match
Martin Cameron Vs. Mike Corral
Just weeks ago, Mike Corral had everything seemingly in front of him. He was the #1 contender for the WPW Championship.. he had every opportunity in front of him, but it's also been a rough couple of weeks.. After what was more or less a shambles between himself and JMC for the title, with Cassius cheating to the teeth to take his title back home, he was again unsuccessful at defeating 'Masterful' Michael Karver.. However, he didn't fail in defeating the Royal Knight for the chance at Martin Cameron's Florida State Championship. Cameron's not been the most successful of late, either.. but this is hardly his fault, as he's simply continually been hounded by the man he took the title from, 2. The twist here, is that Mike Corral and Martin Cameron tagged up together at WPW's last pay-per-view event, The Tournament of Champions 3, for Martin Cameron to get the opportunity at the Florida State championship in the first place.. Will this former tag team prove to have one another's number? Will 2 be able to keep his face from popping up in the middle of this matchup? Will the writer of this blurb be able to stop putting question marks after sentences? Proving Ground should answer these questions, and more.. hopefully.

Tag Team Title Match
David Nicolls & ??? vs. "Masterful" Michael Karver & "Spectacular" Salvador Karver
The 'booby' prize for 'Masterful' Michael Karver's loss at this past week's Tuesday Night Turmoil to Jokester.. was a different title match to the one he was expecting. He, along with his newly-redebuted son, 'Spectacular' Salvador Karver, were scheduled in for a match with the Team of Excellence, and present WPW Tag Team Champions, David Nicolls and Desmond Troy.. however, Desmond Troy was recently attacked, and is presently unfit to compete. As such, Carlos Gonzales, WPW President, came up with a perfectly amiable solution.. David Nicolls needs a partner; WPW has a raffle box they got from a local lottery show, and Tina Bee, if she's actually willing to do the draw. Who will be Nicolls' partner to defend the Tag Team Championship? Nobody knows, but it's sure to be fun to find out!

WPW Title Match
JMC Vs. The Jokester
James Moriarty Cassius, WPW Champion. These seem to be all-too familiar words put together, and Cassius seems imbent upon making this stay the case for far too long for most WPW fans to be happy with this thought. This is his second title defense, and he has what anyone would have to consider a doozy of an opponent.. WPW's only hope of being known on the global stage, Presidential Candidate, John Oliver Kenneth Edward Ster! Ster's chances of winning any match that he is in are, generally speaking, extremely high.. but JMC has shown that he's willing to go to any extent to retain his covetted WPW Championship. Including attacking his would-be opponent exactly a week before he is due to face the Champ. Will JMC's attack prove to be in vain? Will Ster's momentary injury prove too much for him to work through? Will Ster be able to advance to the primaries? The only way to find out the answers to these questions and more.. is to buy WPW Proving Ground, only $14.99 on PAY PER VIEW!

This severely needs match descriptions.

The tag team match, the ??? next to David Nicolls, is open for all to RP for.

Promy will get it all sorted out soon, but ANYONE who has no match can and should RP for the tag title contest.
