Beno vs. Connie & Tina

Beno certainly took the fight to the ladies in this opening contest. He knocked both Connie and Tina down several times and even cracked their noggins together. However, most people fled to the bathroom when during an attempted running clothesline from Connie her massive left breast (a bit bigger than the right one) popped out and slapped the ref (who incidentally, was watching too close) right in the face. While Connie fixed herself Beno shoulder charged her out of the ring. Then he tried to BenoBomb the slightly less massive Tina but her girth still appeared to be too much for Beno as she back dropped out of the powerbomb and squashed Beno by sitting on him.

Winner: Connie and Tina

Super Sexy Girl vs. Phill Bennett

Phill Bennett showed a lot of heart in this match he seemed to have a lot of ring rust. When SSG tried to get into a techncial bout Phill would slap her ass and taunt her with crotch thrusts. Phill took a few cheap shots to keep SSG down and get several near falls. SSG eventually overcame Phill when she blocked the third of a triple vertical suplex and suplexed Phill to the mat. She then quickly slapped on her reverse cowgirl submission hold and Phill tapped out after just missing the ropes.

Winner: Super Sexy Girl

Justin Dreamer vs. Ryuu

This was a great contest. Ryuu had a lot of deadly striking maneuvers and was counteracted by the wrestling ability of Dreamer. Ryuu went for a big roundhouse kick of Dreamer but Dreamer ducked and Ryuu knocked the ref out for a little bit. Dreamer took over with the ref out by going back to his hardcore roots. Several hard chair shots and moves against the guardrail on the outside left Ryuu reeling and Dreamer feeling really confident. Dreamer brought the action into the ring and went for a big chair shot but Ryuu kicked the chair back in the face of Dreamer. With Dreamer dazed Ryuu nailed a flurry of stiff kicks to the gut and the back before nailing a spinning backfist/ spinning roundhouse kick combo to the head of Dreamer knocking him cold for the pin.

Winner: Ryuu

Ryan Patrick Cade vs. Ivan Doherty

Ivan made his debut against a fairly confident RPC, but I don't think RPC did enough research on his opponent. Ivan confused RPC with a mixture of power and a few high flying moves and kept RPC reeling most of the match. Every time RPC tried to mount a comeback Ivan was quick to stop the momentum and eventually locked RPC up in the Butterfly Stretch to get the tap out.

Winner: Ivan Doherty

Main Event

Jesse Long & MVP vs. David Nicolls & Desmond Troy

This was certainly an interesting contest, Troy and Nicolls seemed to be prepared for their first match as tag team champions while Jesse and MVP just stared each other down before the bell sounded. MVP and Jesse were in the ring before the bell sounded when MVP said he'd start the match. Jesse was about to lveave when MVP hopped out of the ring and the bell sounded as Nicolls blindsided The Real. Jesse held his own for a while as the champs tagged in and out frequently but couldn't get some real solid momentum going as Jesse's MMA background came in handy to coutner a lot of their holds. There was a huge double clothesline as Jesse and Troy both got knocked to the mat and when Jesse crawled for the tag, MVP hopped off the apron leaving Jesse to fend for himself against the tag champs once more. Jesse was able to get back up to his feet and eventually get back on the offensive. As Jesse picked up Nicolls for a Cradle DDT, MVP tagged himself in. Jesse covered Nicolls but MVP grabebd the GoL and threw him to the outside. Nicolls kicked out after the delay and the tag champs went to town on MVP and set him up for the Double DROPKICK off the top. But as the champs perched themselves up The Royal Knight came out from the crowd and grabbed the tag team titles from the timekeeper. The champs connected with the dropkicks knocking MVP cold and ran after the Knight. Knight dropped the titles at the ramp and the champs tried to get back into the ring but had already been counted out giving MVP and Jesse the duke.

Winners: Jesse Long and MVP

After the match the ref helped MVP up and raised his hand. MVP jumped up and down in celebration only to turn around and be introduced to Jesse's new God of Live title the hard way with a belt shot right to his head.

Ugh.

Feeling a little crappy over this one.. I managed one login a day, expecting to have to put up a second RP. My first was reasonably short, and not the greatest.. I knew this, of course. So, I log in each day.. no replies (or views) to the thread to speak of. Didn't get in a login yesterday, and wake up to something overly distracting, only to see three brand spanking new RPs.

I'd really ask that all you people end up trying to make a little time to RP. This is the 3rd week in a row or so I've felt like this (with a plentitude of last minute RP's, me unable to respond due to OOC commitments), and it's not a good feeling! BAD PEOPLE! :(

Still, congratulations where congratulations are due. Congratulations to: Mike, for getting the show up in some semblance of time, Ryuu and SSG for representing for Green, Doherty for making a successful redebut, and of course, MVP and JLO, for the (somewhat irritating, though deserved in its own right) victory.

And here I was about to tell Ryan off again. Except I do kinda see that he's right in a few ways! Ryuu Vs. Dreamer was Ryuu's match and if you read the rps he did, all the power to him! Some other stuff I'm a bit less than happy with. And Aperama, I know the pain of our Time Zones and how you gotta feel right now.

Mike Corral
01-21-2008, 07:19 AM
I know what you mean about the time zones Promy. Two of my matches I tohught I had won, only to find out that it wasn't the case.

Wish we could've seen a promo from Ivan, but hey, what're you gonna do?

Mr. Hendrickson
01-21-2008, 12:46 PM
Well I couldn't say I seen the loss coming, but when you get two people who rp at the last moment this should be foreseen. Anyways Royal Knight cost us the match in some fashion so I am not sure what to say.

Like my partner said credit is due to those who won the matches, with on time roleplays. Not a bad show at all Mr. Adams, I really did like it. Also sorry Aperama for not getting a rp out sooner, I just got my internet hooked up after a week of not having it.

Mr. Long
01-21-2008, 12:50 PM
There was no deadline this week. So as much as you would like to believe, there was no pinching involved.

Besides, I RP'd at 10PM EST, that's five hours before the deadline. Hardly last minute.

I can see why you'd be a little miffed with the turn out of the match though.

Mike Adams
01-21-2008, 01:38 PM
to be honest i thought it was really close and thats why i had a screwy loss for you guys so it wasnt exactly clean, and i did say in the preview thread that when i do live there are no deadlines so every rp counts

Duff
01-21-2008, 01:44 PM
Firstly, not everyone was aware of the lack of deadline,a nd secondly, i can't see any RPs beyond the normal deadline anyway.

let's not turn this into a moan about who RPs when. I'm all too aware of the problems the time differences cause, but we went round in circles for a month deciding how best to rectify it, and there is no system better than the one we curently use. The only things that those of us in less favourable timezones can do is be aware of who RPs late and get our blows in early. For Example, I know that it's extremly likely that there will be a late flurry of RPs from Judge and RK tonight, and if i don't act on that, it will be my own fault, not their's.

Mr. Hendrickson
01-21-2008, 01:50 PM
No I am not mad I lost, just didn't notice there was no deadline. Needless to say a loss is a loss and a win is a win. They won we lost, next week will be different.. I just wish I had more time to rp as I didn't have the net till Saturday.

Nice show guys. I havn't gotten a chance this week to extend Ivan's character, but I will for the next show that he's on.

Looking forward to seeing this week's TNT :)

I agree with Hendy and Appy. This is the third week in a row that I have 2 days to RP. I already bitched to Dan about that. I didnt notice the lack of deadline, so I made sure to get my RP in reasonably before the normal deadline, then went to sleep. Had I known I had almost another full day, I definatly would have acted on it. But that is really the only reason I hate being on Live, I have no time to RP, and I have started to feel that this week, after 2 straight losses from that same thing.

And I would like to congratulate D&D, I honest to God thought that my RP wasn't as good as theirs. I thought both of them were really good. I still accept the win though lol.

Great show Mike, I actually read every match. Usually when I read matches that aren't mine, it means that they are really good, so I applaud you for making me do extra reading.

Mr. Hendrickson
01-21-2008, 03:56 PM
Don't worry Philly your role play was good. Its just like you said when you're on Live its hard to get rps out there on time and such even though there is no deadline. I am just happy all four of us role played its nice to have people rp against us sometimes..

Added in the graphics that Jesse was nice enough to do, as well as fixed up some of the coloring.

I gotta say, i agree with some of the questionable outcomes. As in I agree they where questionable.
Ill be back kids.

Kick ass Graphics.. I really dig it.. Adds to the show!

The graphics are great, the pictures of superstars are good. And i like TW as it adds colour to everything too lol.

I would like to mention i do feel a bit hard done by this week, i honestly thought that the rp i wrote was one of the best i have done since i started e-fedding.

The Stig

Sweet graphics man, I agree, they really do add to the show. Love the hat of Ivan! :P

APostingGod
01-21-2008, 11:10 PM
Yeah, I rather not be booked on Live, not because of the sweet graphics... cause they are. But because the deadline is aweful for such a small show. I get home late Saturday night, because you know... I have a life. And I'm out another match, which by the way... I lost to a inactive RPer, and yes, never doing a RP is inactive. Do you really need a deadline to write a paragraph match? I mean two weeks ago... two of my RP's didn't count because of a stupid deadline. You know they make sense for full matches, because you need direction and build and it's hard to change the ending, but it's a fucking paragraph and the ending is one sentence.

Also, the decision on this show peticular bug the hell out of me.

Ugh, I remember why I never RPed for these things now.

Mike Adams
01-21-2008, 11:22 PM
a) i dont have deadlines
b) he did an intro rp, which when no one rps for the actual match a tie goes to the msot recent rper....that wasnt you ryan, hence the decision

APostingGod
01-21-2008, 11:25 PM
Well we didn't know you were doing live, now were we? Sorry.

Fuck the deadline.

Duff
01-21-2008, 11:35 PM
might be better if i posted this elsewhere, but i don't know where the sudden implemetation of a deadline for Live came from as it was always up until the show was posted. I don't agree with a deadline for Live, especially not one of midnight saturday night when the card won't usually go up til Thursday at some stage.

Mike Adams
01-21-2008, 11:51 PM
i said i was doing live in the preview thread and i said i read all rps

AFalseSinn
01-22-2008, 12:00 AM
There has been a deadline since i took over the show like last year!
it was put there because then we got people who rp while im writing up the show, or bitching cause i often put the show up sunday afternoon isntead of night.
So i put that deadline there so that it woudl fix that problem. now everyone knows when they should get things in by and they know when to expect the show most times.

no one has EVER really had a problem with it till now. so eat it?

as well as the most recent rper rule was put into affect at my doing. I dont care if one person doesnt like the deadline, most people seem to understand it and are ok with it. I also udnerstand there isnt a huge amount of time to rp for this show. but thats not my doing. If the deadline goes away then i stop writing the show because then ill have alot more bitching (which besides ryan has dropped a huge fucking amount thank you) and i dont need to have that ok.

thanks,
afs

ive always had a problem with a deadline for live, i just never complained about it.

Philly
01-22-2008, 12:33 AM

Aperama
01-22-2008, 12:45 AM
Well, my problem is more with the fact that I feel people can probably get stuff in a little earlier. Having talked to AFS, he said that Jesse woulda posted up much earlier had he seen my thread - and to be honest, my first RP wasn't all that great. That RP was entirely designed to lead to a second one - I just wanted to get the metaphorical ball rolling, which is the only reason I'm slightly miffed at the outcome. Mike played it off perfectly, though, as it's natural for the RK-Judge match out of this, even if not for title contendership. So this is fine. And it kept the GoL story going, so that's good too.. like I say, only reason I bring this up is, I posted my RP with the express intent of RPing again, as that first RP I put up was of a low quality/rushed; and waking up, believing Mike to be doing the show at that point, bleary-eyed.. well, yeah. Don't worry, guys, this won't demotivate or nothing, it's just irritating, pure and simple. :)

Gunnar Brian
01-22-2008, 12:49 AM
I'm going to side with AFS here. I've never had a problem with this deadline and it has got rid of a fair amount of complaints. Ok fair enough, I don't tend to go out much at the weekends, but even if I do, I've still had time to get an rp up atleast, so why can't everyone else get up one? and even more so why are people complaining now and not when the deadline came into effect?

The Judge
01-22-2008, 01:11 AM
I'm kind of split on the issue.

On side one, I see why Jede put the deadline in, I see why he doesn't like the bitching, and I understand that if we take the deadline away there's going to be someone who RPs at 3:00 PM on Sunday, the show is posted at 4:30 PM, and they're miffed that they lost.

On side two, I don't like the deadline either, but I'm also very aware it's there when Jede writes so I plan accordingly. I lost a match once because of the deadline, I had the promo written up but I had no internet connection all of friday and saturday night, so when I posted on Sunday it was too late. I understood the deadline, wasn't happy obviously, but also accepted it wasn't Jede's fault, and it would've been a bit more unfair to Hendy if I could win with an RP he couldn't respond to.

No matter what we do, someone will be unhappy, because if we take the deadline away, there will be those that complain that people can RP up until the show while they sleep. No matter what we do, someone will still be miffed.

THAT SAID...

If Jede's all for it, I'd like to propose two ideas. The first idea is simply pushing the deadline back by 12 hours. Noon on Sunday, Pacific time. That would establish a deadline, and give people a little more time.

The second idea I have that I really want to experiment with is having a "loose" deadline. The deadline will be whenever Jede starts writing Live, and he could post in a dedicated thread an hour beforehand the deadline is here. So for example if he wants to start writing Live at 9:00 AM, he could post at 8:00 AM that he will be accepting RPs for one more hour. This will in effect do three things.

1. Give people more time to RP.
2. Make the deadline more unpredictable which in turn stops people from "pinching" (Which I doubt anyone does for live)
3. Pleases Jede.

I'm also open to suggestions, so please fire away, but those are my thoughts. I like not having a deadline personally, but that would mean everyone would have to agree not to bitch if they lost and yeah... Sadly that'll never happen.

AFalseSinn
01-22-2008, 01:46 AM
I think i like option one. 12 noon on sunday is good cause i generally dont write till after that. But the second one could be doable to.

I think the 12 noon on sunday is a good start and then should i feel like writing earlier on some day (say i know ill be gone later in the day) then ill inform people that the deadline is an hour from my post or somthing

Shadows
01-22-2008, 03:16 AM
I think that would work well. Then we could have a set deadline but still be informed for speical cases.

P. S. The matches were well written and the graphics were a great touch. Congrats to all who won, Especially Ryuu. Try and keep it up!

The Judge
01-22-2008, 04:30 AM
I meant to comment on the graphics, I love them, definately added a missing piece live needs.

...Now we just need to get someone reliably making graphics for TNT again!

Is that Jesse in the last pic? If so, bro, what happened??? When's your birthday because I'll send a razor over to Florida just to see you shave off that nasty beard! I've had facial hair for, off and on (Mostly on) 10 years, but never anything like that!

Well, I for one would like to see the deadline changed to noon Sunday, anything to give people just a little bit extra time since Live is harder to RP for as it is. Anyone have a good reason why this shouldn't happen?

I really liked the match between dreamer and Ryuu. Nice to see new talent here in WPW. Thought the neding of Beno/bees match was pretty funny. I didnt really like the ending of the main event with the tag champs being counted out. But it was pretty interesting to see that MVp and Long couldnt team up and pretty much turned on one another

Not Daisuke Ryu, Ryuu Tsukigami. a.k.a. Vengeance. Maybe that's why Blade figured he was new, he didn't know it was Vengeance...

And it says it was Ivan's debut, not Ryuu's.
