Tonight’s a rough night. I’m a NY Rangers fan, but I LOVE hockey, so to recap this while the final game of the playoffs is on is kind of brutal. Oh well, on to the recap!!

RAW opens up live from Albany, New York, one week away from Bad Blood. Your hosts are JR and The King. They hype Shelton Benjamin vs. Batista, and HBK vs. Randy Orton as the main event.

Out first comes Stacy Keibler. She’s in the ring to pimp the Diva Search, the contest ends tomorrow, yada yada yada. She demonstrates how she does her entrance, and right at the end, Gail Kim comes out. She talks smack to Lita, and their match is next.

Lita vs. Gail Kim: Clothesline by Kim misses, punches by Lita. Headscissors off the ropes by Lita. Lita whips her into the corner, hits a clothesline….repeats. Lita goes for the DDT, and Gail sends her into the second rope. Gial pounds away, then whips Lita to the corner, where Lita’s kick is blocked, and Gail takes her down with an elbow drop to the legs. Gail works the leg, and locks in a side leg lock, then works her over to the apron. Gail works the leg over the apron, then takes out the knee and smashes it into the ringpost. Lita gets back in, kicks by Kim. Kick by Lita is blocked, then she gets the enziguiri. Pin gets 2. Small package gets 2. Monkey flip by Lita, clothesline. Snap suplex by Lita. Irish whip by Lita is reversed, Lita moves out of the way of the charging Gail. Gail recovers and takers her down. She locks in a form of an Indian Deathlock, and Lita gets the rope. Gail charges, Lita with the drop toe hold into the second rope. Big DDT by Lita, and she gets the 3.

Winner: Lita

Thoughts: Slow women’s match, and these two should NEVER have another singles match ever again…period. So in WWE logic, Lita will be thrown into that women’s match come Bad Blood, totally making it more of an unbearable match.

Eric’s in his office with Johnny Nitro and Coach comes in. Coach claims he’s undefeated, so Eric makes Coach vs. Eugene for Bad Blood, and Coach laughs it off. Nitro’s laughs as well, then brings up the question that maybe the egg’s on Bisch’s face. Eric doesn’t like this, so he makes Nitro vs. Eugene, and if Nitro loses, he’s fired. Coach laughs at Nitro’s expense. NO NOT JOHNNY!!!!!

Maxim Hair Color of the Week: Benjamin beating Orton last week.

Batista w/ Da Nature Boy vs. Shelton Benjamin: Batista needs to stop posing in his entrance. Punches by Orton, takes no effect, so Batista whips him into the corner. Chops in the corner, followed by an irish whip and a clothesline by Batista. Another whip to the corner, and Shelton gets the boot up. Drop toe hold on Batista, takes no effect, so Batista goes for the running powerslam, which Benjamin reverses into a crossbody. Benjamin sent off the ropes, and gets caught with the powerslam. Big vertical suplex on Benjamin. Another is reversed into a rear naked choke by Benjamin, but Dave powers out with a sideslam. That gets 2. Jawbreaker by Benjamin, and he’s mounting a comeback. Irish whip by Benjamin into a leg drop to the knee. Big knee lift on Batista. 2 big splashes into the corner on Batista. Naitch gets on the apron, but gets taken out…spinebuster by Batista. Batista goes for the Big Powerbomb, but Shelton escapes, Orton interferes, and Batista gets the Sitout Powerbomb for the 3. Winner: Batista Evolution attacks Benjamin, with Orton doing the work. They hold Benjamin as Orton takes him out with the belt.

Thoughts: Not too bad. Fun little match with false interference, then the one that really mattered to build up the match for the PPV. It served its purpose just fine.

Beniot’s in the locker room as Edge comes in. Bisch was unavailable to give them a rematch for the titles. They make comments about Bischoff and each others’ finishers, showing dissention, and Coach comes in. A BIG MATCH is going to go down, seeing as Beniot likes to help Eugene, it will be Beniot vs. La Resistance.

They show highlights of the rock at the MTV Movie Awards and I could care less…time to check the Game 7 score…1-0 Tampa…****.

We’re back and Trish and Tomko are informed by the Bisch that Tomko will face Jericho at Bad Blood. Hooray. No one cares about Tomko. Stratus wants in the Women’s match, but before she can finish, Kane barges in and gets in Tomko’s face, then implores that he and Bisch need to get it on…verbally.

Chris Jericho vs. A-Train: A-Train RETURNS!!!!!!!!!! We are so lucky!!!! A-Train attacks Jericho into the corner, then whips him into the other. Big body slam by the Prince. Jericho gets 2 flying forearms, but they don’t do anything, so the Train gets a military press. Backbreaker w/ a stretch by the Train. Jericho powers out, and Train misses the bicycle kick. Jericho attacks the knee, and a drop toe hold on the Train. IT’S THE MOVE OF THE NIGHT! Ali shuffle leads to the leg to the back. Jericho taunts, so A-Train gets the Derailer. That gets 2. He goes for the Train Wreck, but Jericho escapes, and attacks. Jericho goes for the Walls and locks it in. Train taps. Winner: Y2J.

Thoughts: Yup, bring A-Train to RAW and give him the ol’ Rhyno treatment.

It’s this week’s Smackdown! Rebound! Bikini contest, bull rope match, Taker and Paul E., got it.

And it’s time to play the game…Game 7 that is…2-0 Lightning…dammit…come on Flames.

Now it’s really time for the Game. Trips has a skybox seat, a waitress, food and drinks, and plans to have a good time. Good for him. Apparently it’s the beginning of the end for Michaels, as he expects Orton to win. He’s never lost a Hell in a Cell, but seems to have let Armageddon slip his mind…He brings up HBK’s FAITH, oh, he’s being edgy. They will go straight to hell Sunday…so they’re coming to NEW JERSEY!!! WOO!

It’s La Resistance! And they are singing for Canada! Terribly I must add, and in French…so Beniot cuts them off…being Canadian and all…but residing in Georgia…

Chris Beniot vs. La Resistance: Arm drag by Beniot, and he taunts, he wants them tornado style, so they attack him. Conway takes over in the corner, but Beniot chops his way out. Conway powers back with punches and forearms, then tags in Grenier. He kicks away, then chokes Beniot with his boot. He punches him down to the mat. Beniot retreats to the corner, and gets whipped into the corner chest first. Grenier locks in a headlock…Beniot elbows his way out, but Grenier takes him out. Tag to Conway, Beniot is whipped to the ropes, kick by Beniot, but Conway comes back with a neckbreaker for 2. Conway with forearms to the back, and tags in Grenier. Beniot chops his way out of the corner again, but Grenier comes back with knees to the gut. Beniot is whipped shoulder first intot he ring post, then Grenier gives Beniot a full nelson in the ropes. Conway attacks Beniot on the outside, then Grenier gets an arm breaker over the shoulder on Beniot. Double team effort by La Resistance, and this brings in Edge, and he’s cleaning house. Clotheslines, followed by 2 spears. This results in a DQ. He sends Conway out of the ring. Bisch doesn’t like this, so he’ll grant Edge and Beniot a rematch at Bad Blood. He wants to keep the current match alive as a handicap match, so he adds Kane to the La Resistance team.

Beniot/Edge vs. La Resistance/Kane: We are back from commercial as Edge is stuck in a chin lock by Conway. Edge fights out, then gets a crossbody for 2. Conway prevents the tag, and tags in Grenier. Grenier locks in the chinlock. Edge gets out again, knee lift by Grenier, but Edge gets a side face crusher on Grenier. Tags are made, Kane and Beniot battle. It’s a pier 6 brawl, and Edge gets the Spear on Kane! Beniot hits the diving headbutt, but Kane sits up right after. Beniot goes for the Crossface, and can’t lock it in all the way. Edge gets taken out. Kane powers out of the Crossface, and hits the Chokeslam on Beniot, which gets the 3. Winners: Kane/La Resistance

The Coach comes out to the announcer’s table for the next match…

Eugene w/ William Regal vs. Johnny Nitro: Eugene wants a handshake so Nitro slaps him. Hip toss by Eugene, then he locks in a double arm stretch, then an arm drag. Arm breaker by Euene, then he gets a leg waistlock, and it’s the ROLLING SCHOOL BOYS! He works over Nitro, then pretends he’s a dog, then pretends to pee on Nitro. Johnny with an elbow, then punches. Headbutt by Eugene, then a knee lift. He lifts Nitro up…Airplane Spin! Eugene goes up top, double arm sledge connects! That gets the…3? Winner: Eugene. Damn…he needs a finisher. Coach is tired of Eugene and declares he will find a way to stop the Eugene problem. Eugene wants a handshake as Coach is livid, then Coach backs up and falls off the platform…and can’t get up…

2-1 Tampa…Let’s go Flames!, and they’re going on the Power Play with less than 10 minutes in the 3rd.

Lita’s on the phone with Matt, and it’s confirmed, she gets a shot at the title at Bad Blood. Kane’s behind her, and tells her Kane got her in her match. Kane lied…IT’S NOT OVER! Scary!

Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels: Well, the title’s not on the line, so either HBK goes over clean, or Benjamin interferes. Punches by Michaels, follwed by a back body drop. He clears Orton to the outside. He gets back in, and receives punches, then chops in the corner by HBK. Whip by Michaels and he eats boot, and a running clothesline by Orton. They go punch for punch, and Orton gains the upperhand by sending HBK shoulder first through the ropes to the post. Orton attacks the shoulder, but HBK fights back. He goes for the Figure Four and motions to Naitch in the Skybox, and locks it in. Orton gets to the ropes, but favors the knee. HBK works on it, then gets a clothesline sending Orton to the outside. HBK gets a plancha over the top to the outside. HHH sends Batista down to the ring for assistance, and we get the MAIN EVENT COMMERCIAL…

We get back and Orton drops HBK to the outside. Batista sneaks up on HBK, and drills him into the ring post. HBK is now busted open, and JR sells it like he’s dying. HBK is back in and Orton works over the cut, then hits a big dropkick, but seems to be favoring that darn knee again. HBK comes back and hits a flying forearm off the ropes. Both men are out. HBK gets up before Randy, and jumps on him. After the attack, he goes to the top rope and hits the flying elbow drop. HBK sets up for Sweet Chin Music, but Batista comes into the ring, forcing the DQ. HBK attacks Dave, and drills him with Sweet Chin Music. Orton returns with a chair in hand, but HBK takes him out. HBK grabs the chair and wears out Evolution, then hits Orton with the Sweetness. He goes back to work with the chair. HBK heads to the Skybox and escapes Flair. He goes after Trips as the show ends.

Overall Thoughts: The show was entertaining this week. It’s too bad the Lightning won though, because I feel like once they start sucking again, the Florida fans will abandon them. With Calgary, the fans stick through everything. Anyway, they built up the HIAC as the main event for Bad Blood, thus putting the World Title match on the backburner making it seem less important. Everything else was ok, and remember, a little bit of Eugene goes a long way.

Until SD!, this has been Jeff.

Maxim Hair Color of the Week: Benjamin beating Orton last week.
Benjamin dyes his hair???? LOL made me laugh when I read that, I'm not sure why...
Anyway, nice round up, better than reading the results off WZ cause I like the opinion. Sounds like a pretty average Raw to me, can't say much really until friday when I get to see it.

So now Nitro is goine anyone fancy a ToughEnough Tag-team reunion over on SD??
