“When the World Ends” by Dave Matthews hits the speakers and Ivan Drago comes to the stage. He doesn’t pose but instead makes his way down to the ring, Armani suit covering his enormous frame. He steps over the ropes, mic in hand. The crowd levels heat at him, but he doesn’t flinch. He runs a hand through his spiked blonde hair, his face expressionless. He surveys the crowd before he speaks.
Drago:
I have come to be…disappointed with the uCw. I came here to test what I thought were the greatest athletes in the world. Instead, what I got were the greatest disappointments in the world. I have not even had a challenge. My last match with Johnny Phoenix lasted 1 minute. Before that, I destroyed my opponent before he ever got to the ring. Before that, I destroyed 3 of the best this company has to offer without breaking a sweat. And now, I am put in a “match” with a man who was beaten so quickly in his last encounter that you shouldn’t even call it a match-Hammerlock. This man had best bring his samurai sword with him into the ring, because if he gets into this ring without it, his career is over, at the very least. No…I won’t destroy him. He’s not worthy of my full attention. He’s not the one I have come for. So instead of destroying him, I will simply break him. Turn him into a quivering mass of fear, and doubt. I will instill such fear in him, that the very sound of my name will have him losing control of his bodily functions.
Drago:
And I ask management, is this what you would have happen to all of your new wrestlers? If not, then I ask you to give me a challenge, not these charity cases that you have fed me in the past weeks. But maybe, I’m missing the point. Maybe my real purpose here in the uCw is to cull the herd, to eliminate the weak so that only the strong survive. Maybe when I break the better half of the roster, you will understand, and give me what I want, no what I demand. A challenge! If you do not, then you should ask whatever deity you pray to, to protect these men, because you won’t be able to.
Drago throws down the mic and leaves the ring slowly and purposefully.
