H2WRESTLING NOTES & NEWS ON MAIN EVENT FOR BOSTON DEBUT, ZACH GOWEN, CHRIS HERO & MORE
by Mike Johnson @ 11:25:00 PM on 6/1/2004

The debut H2Wrestling event on 6/26 in Boston, MA will feature Teddy Hart vs. Jack Evans in what I believe may be their first singles bout in the United States. The match, which was "voted by the fans" will be the first of a best of three series for the Opera Cup. The second bout will take place on the promotion's 7/31 return. Also announced for the 6/26 Boston event at the Roxy is Chris Hero vs. All Japan Pro Wrestling's Kazushi Miyamoto and World Welterweight champion Taiji Ishimori vs. Minnamo. Also scheduled to appear are Julius Smokes, Sonjay Dutt, Dave Prazak, Gary Hart, the Stampede Bulldogs, The Backseat Boyz, Jill Love, Deranged, Ruckus, Austin Aries, Sumie Sakai, Matt Martel (Striker from NYC area independents), and Jay Lethal.

For those of you who are Elite Members, Gary Hart will be the special guest on Elite Radio with Jess McGrath and myself the week of 6/26.

As we mentioned here on PWInsider.com, the Havana Pitbulls are off the H2 debut show as they informed H2Wrestling over the weekend that they were instead taking a booking at the first New Japan TV taping at the Inoki Dojo in California that day instead.

Zach Gowen made contact with H2Wrestling officials over the last several days, pitching the idea of coming in as part of a tag team with Truth Martini. I'm not sure if there are plans to bring him in at this time though.

There will be an "H2Wrestling spotlight" match on the 6/17 New England Championship Wrestling event promoted by Sheldon Goldberg at The Good Time Emporium in Somerville, MA. Several of the workers who will appear on the debut show, including Deranged will be working. For more details, check out www.NECWwrestling.com.

H2Wrestling announcer Eric Gargiulo is heading up a bus trip to the debut event in Boston from Philadelphia, PA. The trip will be $65 and include Q & A Sessions with Gargiulo, Teddy Hart, the SAT, and more. For details, email eric@prowrestlingradio.com.

There will be a bus trip with pick ups in New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut to the 6/26 Boston debut for $65, which will include VIP admission, Q & A Sessions, and other stuff as well. For details, email AGENTCLPT@aol.com.

It's a shame that the Pitbulls are off the Debut show, But i supose Japan is more important.

Eric Gargiulo seem's to announce everything these days!

Hopefully Julius Smoke's WONT Be wrestling in H2, Christ i dont even buy in to his "Managing" role, He may grow on me in time.

Why does Gowen want in to H2? Please dont bring him in, He's worthless IMO and is only used for the Sympathy Act

I like the look of Evens Vs Hart, Should be a Good match, Same Can be said about Hero working for H2 ~~~~~~

Thoughts?

H2 wrestling is destined for failure. It is the next MLW.

LOL

Care to go in to a little bit of an explanation on why it’s destined to fail Cody?

I don’t see why it’s destined to fail, they seem to be booking Smaller names from the Independent scene and hopefully they have learnt from the mistakes that happened in MLW! Hopefully H2 Can get off the ground and produce some good entertainment and some competition on the independent scene.

They're gonna end up booking the same guys. Thata nd they have the same financial team that MLW had, which is not good. That and Teddy hart is in charge. We all know his egeo,a nd the standards he sets for himself. Don't get me wrong, Hart is damn good! But if he expects the same out of others as from him he maybe disappointed.

I just think it has the MLW vibe.

I don’t know if I can agree with you like I usually do.

MLW brought in big named guys on the Independent scene, The likes of Lynn, Credible, Corino, Awesome, Tanaka, London, Shane, SAT, etc the list goes on and would have driven the company in to financial trouble any way, Also the fact there shows where that of ECW Style booking, Which I wont get in too. In fact IMO the only good thing the promotion ever did IMO was book a Funk/Corino feud. The promotion started Small with a Very small fan base, yet they booked BIIIGG, Which isn’t the right way to go for a Up and coming Independent promotion.

Yet H2 have started Small, and got a Smallish roster, which IMO Wont financially cripple them as every one thinks. IMO they have used this Philosophy Start Small, Book small.

Hell we both No with Teddy in charge, that People he’s crossed paths with WONT make it in to H2, Corino and Punk probably for a start, Which is a shame, But might be for the best in the long run
