View Full Version : Vengeance Card *Prediction*

I know it's a little early but with the way they have things going I think the card will end up looking something like this...

WWE Championship

Chris Benoit (c) vs. Edge

I can easily see this ending up being a match at the PPV. After Bad Blood Edge could ask for a title shot against Benoit. He could then agree and the two would build their feud kind of like the Brock/Angle feud in that they would continue along as friends until Edge gets jealous of Benoit getting the spotlight and ends up assaulting Benoit. Edge could then cut a promo the next week saying that he is sick and tired of hearing about how great of a champion Benoit is. He could say that when they were tag champs, he cared about the titles and did so much more for the team than Benoit did. He could say that it tore him apart that they lost the belts but that over time he started to get over it and realize how self absorbed Benoit is which makes him glad that he speared Benoit a couple of weeks back. I considered Benoit a friend but in this business having friends like Chris Benoit won't get you to where you want to be which is the champion. I continued to ask Benoit for title shots and he would always say that he had a lot on his plate right now and that he'd think about it. To me, that was just him being scared because he knew in his heart that I was a threat for his world title. Now that he has finally given me a shot, I don't need to have him as a friend of mine. Now, it's time for me to take what is rightfully mine which is the World Heavyweight Championship. I have been on the shelf with a neck injury for over a year. Last year at No Way Out Benoit and I were supposed to be part of a six man matchup. I never made it to that matchup though. I was attacked backstage by someone. I was later informed by an anonymous source that it was Benoit that did it to me. I questioned why he would do something like that to me. He knew I was a rising star over on Smackdown and that I threatened his chance of becoming champion. Look at him now, he's world champion and I'm not. My whole life is about that belt. I have busted my ass to get to the top of this business and there is no way I am going to allow Chris Benoit to stop me. He tried his best but I am still here. Not only am I here but I am now the number one contender for the WWE Championship. Benoit, You made the biggest mistake of your life giving me a shot at the title. Not only will I take what I've worked my whole life to get in the World Heavyweight title but I will destroy your career the same way you almost did to mines. That would establish heat for the feud and would get Edge over as a ruthless heel and a credible World Heavyweight title contender. Benoit could then cut a promo on Edge sometime to get himself over as more than a one dimensional champion. If they were to have this feud and lay it out like this, I feel that the title will get back into the spotlight (unlike the way they have it now with Kane and Benoit) and that both men will be solidified as main eventers.
HHH vs. Chris Jericho – Number One Contender’s matchup

HHH will most likely go over HBK at Bad Blood. He could then say that he is next in line for a World Heavyweight Championship. Jericho could then come out and disrespect HHH saying that the only thing he is next in line for is an ass kicking by Y2J. He could say that the only person who deserves a shot at the title is him and that he would have to go through him if he wanted a shot at the title. Bischoff could then make the match saying that the winner would get a title shot at Summerslam. This feud could be very interesting and would be able to establish Jericho as a top level face on the Raw roster.

EDIT: If HHH is going to be going against Benoit as rumored at Summerslam, I think the WWE should build this matchup. He is supposed to be filming a movie and if so, I don't see the point of him getting a shot just because he's the next heel in line.

Intercontinental Championship - 2 out of 3 falls match

Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton (c)

I feel that this would be the perfect way to end this feud. I'd have Orton retain at Bad Blood. Orton could boast about how he defeated Benjamin once and for all. Benjamin could say that he too has pinned Orton in a one on one matchup and that they should have another matchup to figure out once and for all who the better man is. Bischoff could then make the match for Vengeance and say that it isn't any ordinary match but a two out of three falls matchup. This match can do for both men what the ladder match between HHH and the Rock did. This could establish both men as future world champions, make the IC title more credible, give Benjamin the IC title with even more credibility, and keep Orton strong so that he can move onto bigger and better things.

Matt Hardy vs. Christian

This feud could easily elevate both men into the IC title division. I could see the Lita storyline ending in Kane saying that the question was that if she would sleep with him. Matt could then become frustrated and would basically ignore Lita from there on with her trying to get him to talk to her but it never working. Christian could bump into Matt backstage and make fun of Matt saying that he can’t even keep a girl in line. He could poke fun at Matt and throw it in his face that he basically can make Trish do anything he wants. Matt could snap and attack Christian. The two could feud going into the PPV in a match that would go atleast 15 - 20 minutes. The match would showcase both men’s in ring skills and would help to get them over as credible IC title contenders.

Eugene and William Regal vs. the Bischoff Administration

See the thread in the Raw section called "What should they do with the tag team titles for the explanation on the Bischoff Administration thing. I'd have Bischoff put them against Regal and Eugene in hopes of getting revenge on the two namely Regal for double crossing him. This match would help to get Raw's nonexistent tag division over.

EDIT: Due to no one caring about Maven...myself included I decided to nix the match in favor of one which would make more sense.

Batista vs. Tajiri

Ever since being choked out Tajiri hasn't been seen on TV (whether it be to sell the injury or because creative doesn't have anything for him). Anyways, I'd have Tajiri come back and continuously be a thorn in Batista's side. He'd play all sorts of mind games making him so angry that he couldn't get back at him. He would then ask Bischoff for a match at Vengeance and he'll say that before he choked Tajiri out and put him on the shelf but this time he's going to destroy him so horribly that he'll wish he was put out of his misery. This feud could make Batista look like even more of a monster while building him up for a stronger feud and pushing him towards the IC title. Also, since there is no chance of Tajiri going over to Smackdown, this could give Raw another superstar to push towards the IC title.

La Resistance vs. Hurricane and Rosey (repackaged)

Hurricane and Rosey are a great tag team IMO. Their matches on Raw and Heat are always fun to watch, they have the perfect balance with a big man then a high flyer, and they also have a nice finisher like La Resistance (Rosey holds the guy up in the Fireman's carry and Hurricane brings him down with a spinning neckbraker as Rosey Samoan drops him). With a new gimmick this team can give Raw's tag division exactly what it needs. The gimmick could be something that is considered comedy to an extent but at the same time it wouldn't be hard for them to be taken seriously. A strong tag title feud that just focuses on both teams being hungry for the belts will do a lot for the credibility of the division. They got the idea right when they had Flair and Batista saying what the belts mean to them now all they have to do is apply it to this feud.

That’s all for now…I’ll try and add more a little later when I come up with more. What do you guys think? What matches would you like to see the Raw brand build up to going towards Vengeance?

Isn't Vengeance for the Smackdown roster only? Or am I completely stupid?

Wait... don't answer that ;)

Where did Batista/Maven come from?

Where did Batista/Maven come from?

I don't know, but one thing I do know is that I have had it up to here (puts paw above head) with Maven! He sucks! I watched Maven on Tough Enough I and I didn't see anything special. Okay, I watched him two years in the ring and again, I didn't anything special. Maybe it's because he's been sporting the whole "I won Tough Enough" gimmick too long, but the fact is I am not impressed with Maven. I don't take him seriously and I don't think I can ever see him making a heel turn and joining Evolution, or feuding with any serious heels, or any other genius plans people have made up for him. Maven sucks!

That match was just to give Batista an opponent and to attempt to give Maven a character other than that irritating TE1 winner thing.

I edited my card. Hopefully it will be to the liking of those who opposed Maven going up against Batista. :chuckles:

Batista vs. Tajiri? Yeah, nice save, man. Maven sucks big time, and this is exactly what Tajiri needs to break out. Call me crazy, but I see Tajiri as an IC contender and a future Intercontinental Champin (isn't he a former US champ?).

No you're not crazy...atleast I think you aren't :chuckles: . I too see Tajiri as a IC contender. He is entertaining as both a face and heel, has some of the best facials equal to those of William Regal, is excellent in the ring, and always adds excitement to anything he's involved in. Last year at Summerslam (I think it was on that PPV) when they had the fatal four way match for the US title I saw Tajiri as a true US title contender from the way he was built going into the match down to his performance in the matchup so there is no reason he can't hold the IC belt. I think it was the Television title he held in ECW. Don't think he had the US title.

Yes, he was in the 4 way dance with Eddy, Rhyno, and Chris Benoit at the Slam.

Nah, I remember now. Tajiri was the US champ during the Invasion angle back in the 2001.

Then again, remember that the US title was treated as a joke during that time.

I'd put him back on SD!, that would open a IC title spot for Rhyno.

I would have said the same thing a month ago but I think Tajiri can benefit being on Raw. If built right, he can be a pretty good IC champion. As for Rhyno, he should be one of the top dogs on the show going for the World title. Whether it be a face or a heel (they need both and Rhyno can play both to perfection like Tajiri) he should be main eventing. He surely deserves a PPV slot much more than Tyson Tomko. He is just about as underutilized as Lance Storm was. Hopefully he doesn't end up being let go or retiring.

IMO I think that Rhyno should head back to SmackDown and feud for the US of WWE Title.

If built right, Tajiri could be the Rey Mysterio of RAW. I mean matches could be very entertaining instead of being squash matches.

I thought I was the only one who felt that he should be back on SD. I gave up on that happening a while ago though as it doesn't seem as if they'll make any trades.

Yeah they wont make any trades now cause if they wasted their time making the second draft a joke then why waste their time again trading someone to make a brand better cause they would've done that a while ago.

Good card man. I like the idea of bringing up the 6-man tag at No Way Out
