It isn't hard to see that Chris Jericho has been on autopilot for the last year. He still put on respectful matches but he seemed to be holding back, he was getting stale. Over the last couple of months he's been recapturing some of his old form, he's still not there yet but he finally seems to be gathering momentum. Although he's still stuck in a feud with Christian's trio it looks to be coming to an end.

Do you think he deserves a title shot after all this? Obviously he's not going to get one before Summerslam because they're probably going to go with HHH/Benoit but after that who knows? Personally think Jericho has got a ton of potential, when he's at his best he can put on amazing matches but he tend to get lethargic from time to time. I think that a main-event feud is what he needs to truly get his edge back. (Pun intended) Maybe a feud with a heel Edge could be a possibility?

Discuss.

Jericho vs. Heel Edge would be fantastic. Jericho is finally starting to shine once more, and aside from getting demolished by Tomko, I like where they are taking him.

The thing with Jericho and Tomko is that it is just filler to get Y2J by for a little while until he gets his push. I honestly think that Chris is going to win the Rumble in 2005 and my hope is that he will face Benoit at WM21.

I doubt there'll be a Chris Jericho/Benoit encounter at 'Mania 21. I'd bet money that Triple H is going to be the next World champ, winning the title at Summerslam. And even if Hunter were to lose the title before March 2005, I doubt Benoit will beat him for it.

As far as Jericho coming out of a slouch - when? I agree that once Jericho grabs hold of something serious like a fued with a heel Edge, that he'll come out his slouch, but right now, Jericho's in the same crap he's been in since Wrestlemania, and that's feuding with Tyson Tomko, who's participating vicariously.

Chris Jericho will come out of his slump eventually, but I haven't seen any indications that he's done it, or is currently moving out of it.

If they are going to give Kane a title shot then they might as well give Jericho one since I think he's more entertaining then some of the wrestlers they have now.And I think they have to get rid of the Christian,Tomko,Trish and Jericho feud and have him in a better feud maybe with what was said about it being with heel Edge.

well i think if edge turns on beniot then edge will probably be in the title picture for a couple of months. i dont know why jerrico isnt used in the title picture but hey..they should at least put him in the IC title hunt.

I honestly see a money match for Jericho will Benoit at the Survivor Series, and I say Survivior Series because a. the WWE will drag this Trish/Jericho feud out into the summer and early fall and b. Benoit would have face HHH for the thousand time at Summerslam. The only way that it could work is if the WWE keeps the belt on Benoit, selling Benoit as a tougher champ than HHH and build Jericho as the ever galiant challenge going through everyone for three years to get his title back.

As for the Edge/Jericho feud, it would be interesting to see it but like everything else, they would have great matches to build Jericho as a strong face and they would have to bulid Edge as a serious heel but a better heel than Christian, and question is begged, is an Edge and Christian reunion in order just to destroy Jericho's chances at the world title.

Jericho's slump has been caused by the dragging of his feud with Trish and co. I was glad to see the matches with christian but the feud should have ended after the cage match.
I would be ecstatic at the possibility of a Jericho vs Benoit world title match no matter if it's at Survivor Series, Rumble or WM21. Maybe the reason Jericho is being held bcak is because he will get a mega push after summerslam leading him to win the Rumble and face Benoit at WM21 taking his World Title back. That would be sweet.

Hmm I cant really see Jericho getting a major push till maybe Survivor Series and hell thats even if he's lucky. WWE will probably keep this stupid Christian fued going with him for ages and it will leave Jericho in a slump until it does finish which should have been a good month ago. Jericho definetly deserve's a title shot but I dont know if he will get on untill 2005
