Handicapped Tag Team Match (Think About It)
Blade LaVigne & Beno vs. Forsaken & Vengeance

This match was actually a treat for the members of the Forsaken Fan Club, who was in attendance....granted that was just Mr. and Mrs. Forsaken in the front row, but that had a good time. Forsaken actually ordered Blade and Beno to attack him at the same time and told Vengeance to stay back. Forsaken easily handled the crumbling LaVigne Dynasty and won handily with a Murishinjuu on Blade while landing on top of Beno.

Winners: The Fallen in 7:24

Champion vs Wrestler Singles Match
Mike Corral vs. Jason Bennett

Jason Bennett came out a bit degected that he didn't win the Florida State title last week, and Mike Corral came out just looking like he didn't want to upset the tag champion. Jason offered Mike a bribe to jsut lay down because he had a prior arrangement to attend to. Mike noticed that even the winner's share of the purse was considerably smaller than the bribe so he laid down and Jason dropped a knee to his gut for good measure and pinned Corral.

Winner: Jason Bennett in 0:06

No Garlic Allowed Single’s Match
Jerimiah Ranks vs. Sky Ryder
This match was definitely the match of the night. Not because it contained the best wrestling but because of the antics. Jeremiah Ranks came to the ring dressed as Marvel superhero Blade, in order to combat his opponents "uniqueness." The referee barred any outwards weapons from ringside though. Ryder and Ranks actually had a good back and forth for a while. Ryder eventually got control of Ranks after nailing a Whisper in the Wind. Ranks rolled to the outside and grabbed a garlic necklace from under the ring. As Ryder approached him, Ranks wrapped the garlic necklace around his neck and began choking him with it. The ref saw this immediately and called for the bell. After the bell sounded Death Ryder came to the ring and assaulted Ranks. Sky immediately shook the garlic off him, afraid to touch it for some reason and the Ryder brothers left Ranks laying.

Winner by DQ: Sky Ryder at 14:21

Bathroom Break Tag Team Match Unless You Like Wrestling
Phill Bennett & Martin Cameron vs. Gunnar Brian & MVP

Almost as predcited, many of the younger crowd went up to go to the restroom for this match, leaving only the purists aroudn to watch this contest. this was a nice long wrestling match that even kids got to see more than half of it on their way back from the concessions. Gunnar and Cameron showed why they are perennial contenders for the Florida State title. However, when MVP tagged himself in as Gunnar was diving off the top rope for a guillotine leg drop onto the back of Cameron's neck, the tide of the match turned completely. MVP got decimated by Cameron and eventually nailed him with an April Fools. Phill occupied Gunnar's attention long enough for Cameron to score the pinfall.

Winners: Martin Cameron and Phill Bennett in 25:41

Half The Weight Of Half a Bee’s Women’s Single’s Match.
Sophie Cassius vs. Amanda Rhyme

Sophie actually called this match on a ccount of she had jsut gotten her nails done and the "skank stank" from Amanda would almost certainly ruin her manicure.

Winner: No contest

Invisible Jar Full Of Imaginary Bees On A Non Existant Poll Match
Jokester vs. Damian Wreck

Jokester certainly was in no mood for games when Damien Wreck came to the ring. Jokester started out on the offensive very early on, but surprisingly Wreck came back to mount a pretty decent offense against the former PCW Champion. Even through various distractions from Connie and Tina Wreck managed to get Jokester in several close nearfalls. However, when Wreck was setting up for a superplex, Jokester reached up and mimed grabbing a jar. Wreck looking confused, Jokester then mimed opening a jar as he pushed Wreck backwards. The ref then called for a bell as Jokester hopped off the turnbuckle and explained the rules of the match to him. Wreck looked completely perplexed as Jokester celebrated his win by setting the imaginary bees upon the crowd.

Winner: Jokester in 8:52

Roman Numeral Appreciation Single’s Match
Fredereck Meyer III vs. Kaze

Freddy boy was still sulking over the loss of his New Age Title, it took him too long to get to the ring and the ref delcared this match a count out. No one in the audience seemed to be disappointed.

Winner: Kaze in 0:10

Non Title Very Awesome Main Event Single’s Match
The One vs. Johnny Bad Blood

The One actually came out and waited for Johnny Bad Blood to show up. Johnny Bad Blood really did show up eventually as it looked as if we were about to have another count out victory. The notorious JBB approached the champion very slowly. And the champion muttered something about JBB's destruction. JBB got so firghtened he pissed his pants and ran out of the ring, giving the champion a very easy win. One celebrated with his fans after the match signing autographs for anyone....who had the appropriate amount of cash.

Winner: The One in 0:10

Nice. Seems like an incredibly short show though. With no less than 4 matches lasting less than 11 seconds. I think I'd ask for my money back if I were in attendance...

Giving that it took place 5 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Forsaken? As in his parents? My god, we have seen a miracle! The charred ashes of his parents have been brought back to life!

i coulda sworn he wasn't a wrestler 5 years ago...for that matter, i coulda sworn WPW didn't exist 5 years ago...did PCW even exist then?

Good show though, especially liked the Jokester match

Look, sometimes the video feed screws up, and there's a tape delay. Sometimes it's a few seconds, sometimes minutes, sometimes years.

The entire show went 56:44, we really need to either come up with a uniform time for Live or stop posting the match times. I understand that you were doing the thing where you punish people for not rping, but it just dissappoints the people who want to read a nice show. Also try avoid adding little bits like Forsaken's parents, when he has used their deaths in his rps and made it clear it is a part of his character. It just reflects poorly on you when something like that happens. I assume you never thought twice about it.

Never write a bad main event either, it really drags the show down. A squash match is one thing, but this one was not entertaining at all. Perhaps the humor based Live is not your thing, or maybe this was just a bit of a miss this week. It started off alright, shy of that little zombie fan thing, but it never built anywhere or anything. It reads like a rush job, like you forgot you had to do Live or you just wanted to get it over with. You can do better than this. A rather weak edition of WPW Live, surely the fans in attendance will think twice about attending another WPW event.

I'm so confused I could cry.

Oh well, "we" won so it's all good.

its not my fault if those people in the front row had mr and mrs forsaken on their nametags, maybe they wanted to adopt him.......

Wow .. Um what do I say about this show? Um I read it and then re-read it and think that Scorch is right 100% this was a bad show. The worse thus far since I have been reading the WPW Live shows. This makes me cringe as a writer. It seems like you don't read roleplays nor really care to understand the basic principles of short result match writing. I suggest if you do the show next week that you get an understanding on the people you are writing for please.

Ther really is a lot wrong with this show. Some of the results should ahve been different in my opinion. Not only did JBB lose in 10 seconds despite RPing, the manner in which he lot was a total affront to him and this fed which is based on RPs. Obviously there's the Vengeance's parents thing that people have mentioned. Poor, poor effort Mike

Well, to all those who feel annoyed by this edition of Live, since Mike has already held his hands up and apologised, i want to apologise on behalf of the WPW team. We know you all put a lot into this fed, adn without you it wouldn;t matter what kind of shows we put out, because there would be nobody to do it for (kinda like WS, lol). Anyway, yes it was a bad show, but unfortunately it happens every once ina while. The probelm with Live is that the whole assignement falls to one writer, and if it's a less than 100% effort from him, the entire show suffers. If one writer puts in a less than 100% effort on TNT it is often covered up by the other matcehs surrounding it, so it's worth bearing that in mind when looking at Live.

Anyway, as i said, it's happened now, we'll try to make sure it won't happen again, so let's not dwell on negative things and look forward to TNT and onwards from there.

Everyone is being a little harsh here. The show read OK though JBB definitely deserved some action and the Forsaken's parents thing was just a mistake (unless you're referring to the fake Forsaken parents RP that I did about a month ago, in which case, well remembered and didn't the rest of you read it?)
It doesn't matter if the show is 56 minutes or two hours as long as the written segments themselves are reasonably lengthy. If it's only 56 minutes, I would imagine there's some lengthy in ring stuff from Carlos or the One or something.
Thanks for the Jokester win. Damian Wreck (that's CT Ranks to you and me) posted a late RP which was probably better than mine, but of course I was tucked up in bed by then and couldn't reply. Forgot to play up the Imaginary Bees stipulation in the RP too. Sorry about that. I should have done something with that.

I still think that Live should be a humourous show with 'some' wrestling, the wins definitely being decided on RPs and the timings just added for a little colour. Nobody agree?

sorry I havent RPed for my last 2 matches, I've been so fucking busy these past 2 weeks its been crazy. I actually sat down and started to write a RP for this weeks match and as I was writing it had to leave the computer to take care of something.

I dont have so much of a problem with the shitty show because if we as members of the Fed either:
A. Dont RP
or
B. Put forth a shitty effort and wrote a shitty RP that looks like it took 5 minutes to write, why should we expect a decent product? If we as members of a Fed want its staff to put together an A+ product 99 times out of 100, then we as members of the fed have to give them something to work with. If we as members dont AT LEAST make it look like we attempted to give the fed an honest effort, I dont think we should expect the staff to do the same for us.

APostingGod
07-23-2007, 08:00 PM
I did NOT put on a shitty effort. I fucking hate the lack of anyone ever reading RPs besides their own... you wonder why the lot of you suck. Yeah, I said it.

Feeling froggy? Leap then cracker!

Duff

hey champ, calm down. Nobody said that you put n a shitty match and, from someone that did read the RPS, you would have won your match either way. The reason people are annoyed is to do with the way the show came across. Even in your own match, not even you can say that JBB deserved the treatment he got. Ok, Mike has now said he didn't see the RP thread, which is fair enough.

It's about time you stopped assuming you're the only one that reads RPs around here. I may not read every last RP, but i read more than my fair share, as do other people. I can see where you're coming from, but not everybody is so obsessed with theri own character that they only read the RPS fro their own matches. The "I'm the only one that reads RPs" act is becoming a bit tiresome by now.

Lots of love and pink flamingoes
