Yes, that's right, WrestlePower is launching it's very own type of reality show. As of right now we are inviting applicants who wish to participate to send in their applications.
So what is this Battle of the Mods?
Battle of the Mods, or BotM for short, is a competition for the members of wrestlepower to compete for a mod spot in the forums. Over the coming weeks, entrants will be set a series of tasks and questions by the admins of WP in which they will compete against each other to prove they are worthy of a moderator spot on WrestlePower.
Who are the judges?
The judges will comprise of a the Smods and Admins of the WP forums. All decisions made will be group decisions and the decisions of the judges are final in all circumstances.
What kind of tasks will be set?
At the moment the tasks haven't been set in stone, but they will generally involve proving what you can bring to the forums, how you react to certain things and overall proving you're the right man for the job.
Who can apply?
Absolutely any non staff member of WP can apply. The only pre-requisite for applying is that you have to be commited to making WP the best forum for wrestling discussion online today. It doesnt matter if you've been here a week or 3 years, all that matters is that you want it and can prove it. Equally, it doesnt matter what you believe the staff think of you, as this contest will be judged on the work you put in now, not what you have done in the past.
Are there any other rules?
Well, the short answer is yes. Applicants must post at least 10 quality posts per week for the duration of the contest, but they can be in any forum on WP with the exception of WPW. Where you post will not matter, as long as the posts are there. You all know what we mean by quality posts, so i don't need to explain that to you. Obviously, we will make allwoances for holidays and things like that, but we must be told in advance of any impending absences.
How do i apply?
Simple really, you send a PM to me and be available to start the competition on July 16th. Applications will be accepted until this date, but an extension may be applied at the managements discretion.
