Ok I bitch alot when the WWE does something wrong so I feel that if I'm going to do that I need to point out when they do something right. I'm watching Heat and I just saw one of the better matches in the WWE in quite a while.
Rhyno went head to head with Val Venis. It was a match that showed excatly how to tell a story in the ring. The match got the crowd pumped and squarely behind Rhyno. The crowd was so hot it actually had me marking out.
I can now say that if one really wants to watch WWE programming Velocity and Heat are places where you can see some really amazing action. I wish that they didn't have all of the Raw and Smackdown recaps on each show. I really wish that the WWE would give wrestlers like this this amount of time ( 15 mins) on Raw to show what they can do. I'm really impressed.

Yeah Kid I watched Heat tonight too. That was an awesome match filled with lots of action. I didn't think Rhyno could put on that good of a match, I knew Venis could, but not Rhyno. You are right when you say, if you want to see good action, watch Velocity and Heat.

im sure a match like this could have made it on SD, but its great to see some quality matches on heat and velocity. but billy gunns match was pretty dissapointing.

I have been saying this for ages. The best place to get wrestling on WWE programming is Velocity and Heat. On the last Velocity there was a simply outstanding match between Paul London and Mark Jindrak. Jindrak won in the end but London dominated most of the exchange. One bad thing about Velocity however is how they keep giving us Billy Gunn/Hardcore Holly main events. I would much rather see a great match between Shannon Moore and Akio thanks very much.

I'm not suprised what so ever that London was involved in an amazing match. He's quite simply one of the best wrestlers in the WWE. He adapts his style depending on who he faces. If anyone doesn't believe me on his greatness, watch him vs. American Dragon. One of the better matches I've seen in a while.

Interesting you mention American Dragon. Does anyone envision a day when he might make an appearence for the WWE? He certainly has the talent and, like London, can adapt his style. One thing working against him is his size but that didnt stop Bret Hart etc. IMO he definately has the talent to get over like that.
Anyway Velocity and Heat are just stellar. At times they can plain awful when the likes of Heidenreich occupy our TV screens but then they are magic in so many other ways. Velocity is just an unbelievable show. There around two cruiserweight matches on there each show which never disappoint.

I've gotta agree with you all. I like Velocity so much more than SD because atleast I know that I'll see a good cruiserweight matchup like the Jamie Noble/Shannon Moore one from a week or two ago. As for Rhyno, I've been arguing his case for so long. This man should be main eventing on Smackdown right now. He can cut a promo if needed to add heat to his character or a feud (He cut an excellent promo backstage on Benoit during their feud last year), has excellent in ring skills, and can work a crowd like no other. It seems as if he is just another victim of the non homegrown effect. It seems that no matter what, they'll never put a superstar on top with a gimmick from another company. RVD, Booker T, Rhyno, Tommy Dreamer, Justin Credible, DDP, etc. The list goes on and on. I think they should do more to promote those shows though. Four years ago, Heat was getting better ratings than Raw has now. They could put one big name on each show every week, and support the show with a strong undercard. Those shows are the only ones that remind me what great wrestling without all of the gimmicks, outlandish angles, etc. is all about.

About Danielson ( American Dragon), I don't really think that he'll be in the WWE any time soon. He has the ability to and he very well could, but there are alot of very good wrestlers over the years who haven't made it to the WWE. I hope Danielson gets his shot but I kinda doubt that he will.
