Yesterday, former WWE champion Brock Lesnar arrived in Japan. Lesnar was holding the old IWGP title and said that he would defend the title on tomorrow night's show in Sumo Hall. As Brock Lesnar was owed money by New Japan while he was IWGP champion, he never sent them the championship belt back. He will most likely be facing another former WWE champion Kurt Angle.
These two have to be probably my favorite wrestlers when paired up. Hopefully Lesnar is still as good and we get another classic. I haven't caught up with his recent wrestling/MMA stuff so I wouldn't know how he's doing.

Brock actually won his first MMA Match in K-1 (I saw it on PPV). It was a pretty one sided fight, he beat the crap out of some Judo dude.
I'd much rather see an MMA fight between the two than a wrestling match.

Angle isn't the official IWGP champ though (He is the "IGF" champion). I really hate both of these guys but i wish Brock would have kept it.
That IWGP is nice though. :D

Uh, what is IWGP anyways? Is it like real wrestling where you have to hurt them enough to REALLY pin them/make them submit or is it scripted too?

No. It is just the world title of New Japan Wrestling. Straight Pro Wrestling/"Sports Entertainment"
IWGP stands for "International Wrestling Grand Prix"

I thought Tanahashi had the belt, not Lesnar. I really needa keep up with NJPW.

Lesnar wasn't the actual champion. He kept the belt because "NJPW owed him money". NJPW now has a new belt and Tanahashi was the champ until Yuji Nagata won it from him back in March.
Lesnar was just being his conceded self and kept the belt. He defended it under the new Inoki project IGW (No at all related with New Japan).

Lesnar has got to be the most immature pro wrestler alive, and that says alot.

I love Lesnar, he doesn't get paid, so he keeps their belt. Add onto the fact it looks like he can pretty much leave the business without it destroying his body and mind, and still live comfortably make me have all the respect in the world for Brock.

I agree, if they owed me money, I hold keep the damn belt too.

Brock cant seem to settle down anywhere. Brock goes down in my book as one of the worst career managers ever, the dude hasnt settled anywhere

He got too much too soon and he couldn't handle it, now he thinks the world owes him something (well supposedly it owes him money. LOL).
I hope he just sticks with MMA for awhile cause his first fight was pretty impressive.
