We'll use this thread to ask questions about what we think are the best things ever.
Let's start off with what do you feel is the best ECW match of all time?
I think it would be Sandman vs Sabu-Stairway to hell
or one of the many RVD vs Jerry Lynn matches...
what do you think?

Ive Allways had a thing for Taz Vs Bam Bam that Happeng in 1998 , Where they went through the ring , I Also Quite Liked The Rob Van Dam Vs Jerry Lynn Match's , But IMO Some of Which where Overrated. Whilst Mike Awesome Vs Masata Tanaka , Where IMO Some of the Best Matchs To Happen on ECW Ground! Whislt Some of the Matchs Though where good Because of the feuds that Built them up.
But you could also look at this another way , What was the best Match in Viking Hall?!

well, i fell one of the best matches was RVD vs Jerry Lynn, the last one ever...at guilty as charged 2001...ECWs last event...because it was when RVD came back from his movie...Rhyno just became the champion...he ssaid anyone in the world come and face me...RVD came out, and the crowd went ballistic...and then Rhyno left the ring, and Jerry lynn jumped RVD, which led to ECW's final match...RVD vs Jerry lynn, on the spot...oh, it was played out perfect...

Hmmmmm I Quite Enjoyed Tajiri and Whipwreck Vs F.B.I match's , I Even Liked The Mexican Death Match Rey Misterio Jr Vs Psicosis , Even The Eliminators Vs Sabu and Rob Van Dam , I Had a Tendancy To like most of the Cruiserweight Match's/Guys That could Wrestle , More than The Likes of Sandman Match's. Prime Example of a Match i also Enjoyed was Rob Van Dam Vs Sabu , There Stretcher Match they had was Very Cool. This After Noon i watched Rhyno Vs New Jack which Was just a Brawl that i liked.

Sting vs. HBK: Two charismatic wrestlers that would've brought the house down had they of ever met. Say what you want about Sting. The guy simply knew how to tell a story inside the ring, just like HBK (only Shawn does it better). A "heel" Michaels vs a "face" Sting. Pure gold.
The Great Muta vs. Paul London: One of the greatest Cruiserweights to have ever lived (Muta) vs. one of the best today (London). Give these guys 30 or more minutes and watch one hell of a match unfold. But in a feud? Oh man they could have had one of the best.
DX vs. NWO: Can you imagine two of the greatest stables in wrestling history, squaring off in there prime? What a feud this would be.
Scorch
05-19-2007, 11:38 PM
Ken Shamrock vs Kurt Angle.
Big Show vs Andre The Giant (And for some reason, if they could cross a Yokuzuna vs Mable feud here to get a nice tag match or fatal four way during the Show vs Giant, just for the sheer spectacle of it all. Say what you want on technical wrestling, or workrate or whatever, you see those four in match together, you remember it.)

Yes, its that time of year. so i just wanted to know people fav WM moment. My alltime favorite Wrestlemania moment was Seeing Chris Benoit FINALLY win the world title from HHH in a triple threat against HHH and Shawn Michaels. Then as he celebrates his life-time bestfriend Eddie Guerrero comes done to the ring with his wwe title (which he sucessfully defended earlier) and the two hugged in the middle of the ring. Greatest. All of them will easily make it. I think anyone who ever holds a world title will make it. Well, everyone except maybe Sid and Goldberg.
Randy Savage might be in question too since he... Well... Doesn't exactly give off the kind of image WWE is looking for.
I predict that everyine on today's main event scene will be in the hall of fame one day though unless they do something to seriously ruin their chances.
Now that the golden era wrestlers are all making it in, how long till we see some Attitude era retirees?

The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan.....when Hogan passed the torch to Rock after one of the most memorable matches in WM history.

My WM17 moment again, the one Chazz mentioned, one of my favorite moments in history.
But also WM19. Not one, not two, but three Rock Bottoms. That moment right there, followed by the Rock pinning Austin and whispering "thanks for everything, I love you man" to him will probally be my favorite wrestlemania moment ever.

Nah, I had a feeling Jericho would come away with the Undisputed title alright. I don't know what it is, me being a Jericho mark or just the timing seeming to be right. What I didn't see coming was the poor booking of Jericho as Undisputed champion. Now that was a damn shame.
For me at had to be Austin and Vince siding with each other at WrestleMania X7. Who honestly could have pictured Stone Cold on the side of the man who's life he made a living hell for years. That was by far one of the greatest swerves in wrestling history, no one saw it coming. That and the infamous McMahon/Bischoff handshake.

Wait, wait, wait. You mean you you were cheering for Benoit over HBk. To think you call yourself an HBK fan. That is like me saying my favorite was when HBk won his first heavyweight title against Bret Hart after one of the best wrestlemania matches in history and seeing him almost crying holding the belt. But I am not going to say that.
Here are some of my other favorite wrestlemania moments:
Again, one of the rare times Hogan actually pasted the torch to another wreslter(Rock) at WM (?)
Shelton Benjamin running up the ladder with a clothesline
Edge spearing D-von while he was hanging in the air.
Jeff Hardys' suicide swanton of the big ladder (one of the TLC matches)
Shane Mcmahon hits the Van Terminator on Vince.
The return of the Deadman Undertaker -WM20
Owen defeating his brother Bret - WM 10
Austin wins his first heavyweight title-beginning of the Austin era and also the beginning of the end of the WCW era.
Hogan Body Slams Andre the Giant at WM 3.

Well, aside from the obvious selections, I will list a few of my personal choices.
Arn Anderson: I'll get to Tully Blanchard in a moment. I realize that Arn never was a main eventer. But he was one of those rare guys who could compete in tag team and singles matches....and do both so damn well. Back in the old NWA, Arn was the TV Champ, and week after week, he would defend that belt on TBS and he would always have good matches. One of the best matches he had was one in which he faced this up and comer named Bryan Pillman (I miss him so much.). On the tag team circuit, he and Tully Blanchard made a great team. But it was he and his brother Ole, the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, that made an even better team. One reason Arn was so good in both types of wrestling was because he was a ring technician and a great ring psychologist. Plus, his promo work is some of the most direct, most lethal, I have ever seen. He never raised his voice...and he never had to. To me, he is one of the best I have seen in the ring, and I long for those days when he could step into the ring and show us all just how good he was.
Tully Blanchard: Had he never been a Horseman, I think he would have been a World Champion. This guy had everything to be "The Man". But whatever reason, it never happened. Still, considering all the guys who have held the US title, I still maintain Tully is the best that ever wore it. Go back to Starcade 85 and watch his cage match with Magnum TA (A guy whose career was cut short cause of a motorcycle wreck). It is simply one of the best cage matches I have ever seen. Like Arn, Tully knew how to work in the tag team realm as was, and he did it very well. He had the looks, he had the mic skills, and he was the perfect fit for the Horsemen. His best feud was with Dusty Rhodes. The two of them just knew how to work with one another. Overall, a guy who should have had a world title around his waist. But even though he didn't, it doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be in the Hall.
Booker T: Yeah. He is an obvious choice, but I wanted to comment on him. I always said that Booker would be missed the moment he decided to walk away from wrestling. Say what you will about him. This guy has earned everything that he has achieved. He worked his ass off to become a World Champion. But not only that, he was part of one of the best tag teams that has ever existed (Harlem Heat). Mic skills, charisma...and just deep desire to always make himself better. Hell. The guy even survived the debacle that was GI Bro (One of the worst character decisions to have ever been made).

I could see Tully, Arn, and Ole be inducted together as Horsemen
Savage may get in next year if he can work out his issues with wwe....or if god forbid jay lethal goes to wwe
I could see the bulldogs being put in together
Owen will only get in if his wife allows it, wouldn;t be surrpsied if that was mroe emotional than Eddie's induction

-Chris Benoit(hopefully)
There is no such thing as hopefully when it comes to Benoit. He is definite Hall of Famer in the future. Other inductees in the near and far future would include Triple H(how did you forget him), Edge, Cena, Booker T, Angle, Hardyz, Dudleys, Big Show, Trish Stratus, LOD, Slick, Ricky Steamboat, Rick Rude, Ted Dibiase, Bam Bam Bigelow, Brian Pillman, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Dynamite Kid and Yokozuna. I know there is others I have not thought of yet.
Then there are some wrestlers who may be more controversial but may still have a chance. They include:
Scott Hall
Kevin Nash
Bob Holly(any one who is still with the company past 10 years or more probably has a shot)
Randy Orton(sometimes his current behavior makes it hard to see what his future will be like
Terry Funk(most of his fame happened outside the WWE.
Owen is definitely deserving but it depends on his family wishes.
Stu Hart (see Owen)-his impact on this business qualifies him
Macho Man\Ultimate Warrior (there is still a .0000000000000000000000000001 chance that these wrestlers and Vince will make amends. I still hate the Warriors guts and he is certified nut case, but both had an impact on the WWE.

I don't see Owen, Angle, Dudleys or Dynamite ever getting in. Bruno should be there as well, but never will be.

Ricky Steamboat:How they could not induct this man is beyond me. His matches with Ric Flair are something else to behold as is his WrestleMania III match. Steamboat was one of the finest wrestlers of his generation, an absolute pleasure to watch and one of those guys whos matches you cannot help but get totally involved in. He had great in-ring psychology and you can see how he helped evolve wrestling. I tip Steamboat to get inducted next year, maybe just maybe with Ric Flair.
Edge: Had Edge not become one of the best heels in company history then I'd predict E&C being inducted but sadly that will not be because Edge's single succes has just been phenominal. Is it good enough for the Hall of Face? Debateable I suppose but he certainly will get in with Christian should he not be inducted as a singles star.

2 out of 3 Falls Eddie Gurrero vs Dean Malenko. Yes a very obvious choice but for my money one of the greatest wrestling matches to ever take place in the ring. The emotion in that match was incredible to behold and it truly was a great good-bye from both men to the ECW fans. You cannot overlook Jerry Lynn/RVD matches, Lynn really did so much for Van Dams career.

What was so good about Austin's entrance?
Personally, I think Edge's is pretty damn cool, Orton and Christian once upon a time had cool entrances with their sparks, Kane's used to be cool but over the years the novelty wore off, Undertaker of course, Eddie using a different car week after week was unique.
I think overall I'm going to give the nod to Edge. Austin's was just generic to me, which isn't always bad, but doesn't stand out either.

I know this quite possibly the biggest no brainer but I am going to state the biggest let down match IMO without the obvious Goldberg vs. Lesnar main event.
I think the biggest let down main event happened at Wrestlemania 20 with JBL and Cena wrestling for the WWE title. I honestly expected this to be a very decent match especially after being built up as well as it was. I actually lost interest in this match after only a few moments. The match was to slow paced and actually had little fan reaction until the surprise(not really) FU was hit on JBL and then the pin fall.
Anyway what would you say would be a bigger let down?

In the past, the biggest letdowns were the Smackdown PPV Main Events. I remember one time specifically (i had free PPV at the time so didnt mind watching), I forget who was wrestling, but the main event of a Pay Per View ended in a DQ. Most people watch PPVs to watch the end of the storylines and see great matches, but if the show ends on a DQ, then whats the point of the match or show?
