These days life without wrestling doesnt seem as bad as it used to.Day in and Day out, I forget to tune into WWE,TNA, or anything to that effect. Why?Because it means nothing these days,no realism, nothing unbelivable, no strong, flowing storylines. It just seems Wrestling has died out these days, escpecially with the new draft. We have gotten so used to the old draft, and now to have things messed up, i just dont know which is which these days...

Fact1-No one really can put their finger on what makes wrestling a pain to watch now. Some have tried, but everyone has their own reason...some speak for the majority, while others have their own reasons. One reason is the missing storylines. Not enough GOOD storylines, all are just plain old, boring. No eye catching ones like "Kane's Unmasking" and "Undertaker's Rising from the " which where the last two eye catching storylines WWE has had.

Fact2-No popular interest. People want fake storylines. Unrealistic storylines make good storylines. People are already troubled with realism, they need a bright spot in todays dark society, and they need a light mooded, or un realistic show, to balance their day.At least I know I do.If vince could see the light, most people dont want Vince sleeping with sable...they want Casket matches, inferno matches, cage, hell in a cell, rising from the , suffering, and then prevailing. It all makes perfect sense to me.

Conclusion-People want what makes them happy, they want something to lighten their load for the day. But we know Title matches every night, and no storylines won't do it...Lets hope the creative team sees the light...

short sweet and to the point...

Gotta agree with you there JC, especially Fact 2. It makes me think of "When Metal Ruled The World", which VH1 aired the other day. I think it was Vince Neil who, in talking about how grunge took over, said something to the effect of " Grunge was succesful because they sold misery. Everyone already knows their lives suck, why remind them? Metal provided an escape, a show for people to go see and be completely blown away". In that sense, you could say that the WWE has gone grunge.

Yes, I just compared the WWE to Metal and Grunge while listening to one of my favorite metal bands of all time, Hammerfall. That was my Christopher Walken style "odd comparison out of nowhere" for the day :)
