Well that sucked. 1st Round TKO? I imagine the people who paid for that match alone are very pissed off. I personally thought Liddell just lost his footing. The ref did a good job at stopping the fight though. Liddell could've been seriously hurt.

Nine years is a lot of time to be giving up to a fighter, especially when the younger guy is at an age where he should be in the prime shape of his life. I cannot really say this is a shock, I picked Chuck to win on Tuesday, but by the time the fight was coming, I had a feeling Rampage would be just a little too quick for him. I did not order the PPV, but I hope the undercard was good. It will be interesting to see where Liddel goes from here, and we know Dan Henderson is next for Rampage. Jackson basically took the torch now, who knows how long he carries it for.

I just started watching UFC a few weeks back and since then I've found myself disliking The Iceman quite a bit. Guarantee a first round knock-out? Serves him right. Anyway, I didn't actually watch the PPV since I'm still not sure I enjoy it enough to spend that much money on it, but I rather enjoy how that one ended, though I imagine the match itself was rather piss-poor.

EDIT - Just watched the match and it was quite the letdown. Props to Rampage though, he saw his opening and put Liddell in his place.

he didn't guarentee one...Rampage said 2nd round KO...chuck said it would be hard for him to do that when he was gonna knock him out in 1...it was just trash talk...not a waste of money though, good fights on the card...Alexander beating jardine was a real shocker.

How is that not a guarantee? Anyway, Rampage said he'd get him in three, and Liddell said he'd get him in one. Plain and simple.

All that build and for what? See that there is the problem with MMA that you don't get with a staged product like WWE. You hype HBK vs Triple H and they'll put on a showstopper. You hype Liddel vs Jackson and it can all be over in a flash. It isn't entertainment and it isn't getting your monies worth. Look at Lehoya vs Mayweather, great hype and a fantastic bout. Ah well....
