This is the third of three very important polls regarding WPW. We want to know if you're someone who doesn't regularly read shows, what it will take to change that.
This poll is 100% annonymous, so please be honest, we want to know exactly the reason that you're not reading if you aren't.
If you'd like, feel free to respond to this thread instead of just voting, as that's always more helpful.

What bothers me the most about some editions of TNT is the lack of some overall storyline. Sure, everyone has their little feud, but a good chunk of the matches don't.
I know it takes a few weeks to develop something, but most of the time if you read a show preview it looks like two people just got thrown together. And i can really only point to one reason
Excessive tournaments
It's like every month half the card is "Round 1 Match" featuring two guys with no history. Half the roster gets used in one story, swallowing a giant part of possibility
I know it isn't possible to create history, but I feel if more matches focused on one-on-one or tag-on-tag feuds I would read every time week after week. Seeing what two men will due next in thier hatred of each other sparks more interest than two guys fighting to get knocked out the very next round

Well, the thing is I dont have enough time to read through an entire show.

I agree with that too, and it's really the only downfall of having a pure-RP fed. We try to turn feuds into more long-term storylines where we can (See JMC-Goodman, Stallion-Dreamer, Comoroto-MVP, Judge-Sinn), but it seems like half the time when something's set up, one person in that feud suddenly vanishes (see Main Man/Jamie Parker feud), or someone needs time off for whatever reason, and poof, months of hype wasted on a crappy climax.
The current plan right now is to not see anymore tournaments until the actual ToC in a few months, of course that could change, but that's the plan.
On the topic, I'm actually someone who although I book every show and oversee everything, I don't have time to read every show week to week. I still havn't updated last week's store points, but I can't do that until I write my match this week, then update momentum, then I can update the store, then I can set up TNT, then when TNT's done write up the Team Warfare recap, deal with the store, and take at least an hour or two to get frusterated and do something else. When it's all said and done, it's not that I don't want to read the shows, which I still do at least 50% of the time, it's that I run out of time, and before I know it it's Monday night and I'm setting up the show for tomorrow.
Not complaining, but saying if there's any others like me, speak up because even though I love and am very proud that we hold two shows weekly, if they're not getting read by many then we need to figure out a new gameplan.

The only problem I have with the shows is something thst you guys can't really do. I just have no time, if the week could be extended by a day then fantastic, but I would hate to see it become a bi-weekly show. After Redemption I will have about 4 months of nothing to do so I will be able to read TNT properly on a weekly basis for that time.

A new weekly show like Live so TNT isnt as long, i find that TNT is alot to read as (note not a complaint) the matches are so long people sometimes right PPV quality matches for TNT and i sometimes find it hard to read. A new weekly show like Live or something a recap on some stuff and a few matches might make TNT more readable, coz with all the segments and matches TNT is huge sometimes.

It didn't use to be an issue for me, but recently, due to work outside the fed, I haven't had much time to read through every single show, and other times, there does seem to be a lot of writing there anyway, I know that myself as one of the writers that my matches are always long, in which although I'd like people to read them and comment on the hard work I've put into it, I understand the busy schedules that some people have to go through outside WPW and that they might just not have the time to read my matches properly. A solution could be to lower the amount of matches on the card, then again, a fed like this with the amount of dedicated staff can afford to have a lot of matches on weekly cards, but it's just a case of how many people can actually read the entire show. Really, what it mostly is down to is just time for me at the moment, but perhaps one lesser match a week could work for everyone else, doesn't have to be 5 matches every week, just have the ocassional 6 or 7 match card pop up now and again, just not every week and the save the epic 10 or 11 match cards for PPVs. That's just my thoughts on it, but IMO, apart from that, everything else is fine.

That one is a definate no. The reason being is I think we have too much shows to read, not not enough. And if we had a recap show, I'm sure everyone would read it, but then no one would read TNT, which would make TNT basically pointless to write.
I'm leaning toward that Carson. Booking wise, I'd hate to see TNT go bi-weekly too, but even though the fed is big, I think we're just going to have to make TNT shorter, and make live as competitive as TNT is.
Guess that'll be the end of Red Rover. :nono:
Future polls will also come up as well where we vote on what we want to do.
I have a suggestion, it might be a stupid one, but atleast I'm trying to help...
If you want to make Live competitive, why not have written out matches on there too (although obviously a lot shorter than currently on TNT so that we still don't have a massive problem) and then maybe make the matches on TNT a bit shorter too? Iunno, now I've said it it sounds dumber than when I thought it up...

Nope. That still gives more reading, and even worse it'd give the staff more work.
Live isn't as competitive as TNT yet simply because I don't book it to be.
Is this your way of sayinig I should write a short match for TNT??
Ok, I can do that.

What i was getting at was another live like show to put a few matches on so as TNT isnt so long, could be like a web cast or something have three or four matches on like on a saturday or monday just so as TNT isnt so much too read.

Nope, but theres about to be a time where you can do the match yourself...
I'm off to the pub.
I hope I don't walk into a tree again...:(

Yeah, but then we'd have to have writers preparing matches for one of those days as well, and overall I just don't think it'd work out.

well first of all live isnt competitiive because over half the matches each week contain guys who dont rp or have never rped, so maybe if we had tnt as a bi-weekly show and then we could book some more credible stars on live it would make mroe people read it ebcause honestly as soon as i look at a live card i know if im going to read ti or not

I agree with Mike. I mean, yeah, there are a couple of times when I read Live, but then there are other times where the only reason I read is to see if I won or not (see: Carson vs. Twizted, which I'd love to see again). Live needs to be booked better, maybe have the jobbers on the first three matches then it goes to the RP'ers. If a jobber should come back and decides to stick it out this time, he'd get up to the thrid match before the staff determines whether or not he's serious about this.
Just my opinion.

I agree with what a lot of people are saying, TNT is kinda long to read. I rarely get the chance to read it all. Maybe half the time we could have a full card with shorter matches, and the other half less matches. That way if some poeple don't get in one week because they had to be replaced to cut some matches, they can get in the next week. That'll give them good motivation to do better as well, and on the weeks when they don't have a match, in the time they'd normally spend RPing, they could be getting hints or practice to improve. This way, we improve the ability of our roster, we make the shows easier to read all the way through, and we give the jobbers who would get kicked off the shows if we were to cut matches every show a chance to redeem themselves.

Pretty much what we did this week. TNT has 5 matches as opposed to the 6 or 7 it was getting weekly, and Live as a result has some pretty competitive matches on the card.
